Q:

Game camera for security

I may buy one of these for a home security device. Hunters out there – what model would be good for setting up at home to catch thieves ?

I started to buy this one from costco. The game cameras are hard to hide because of the flash or led light. This looks like a normal motion light.

Thats why its inportant to use one without a flash or your camera will be destroyed or stolen. I use cable locks to secure to the tree. You could also put them high up a tree pointing down so you would need a ladder to get to them. Pain to check the cards and hange batteries though.

One way to catch theives is “red handed” and a sawed off shot gun worked for me then what you do is take there money away from them and tell them if they come back to bring a large trash bag with them if they have the balls to try it again 😉
All in all the ones sold for capturing deer photos works well just have to put it someplace that they won’t notice it maybe an empty trash can with a hole in it or better yet a blue bird house would work well on a post or tree 😎

If you have a problem with thieves they’l just steal your camera 😆

Check out http://www.wildviewcam.com for some great cameras. Been using there stuff for years and they work great.

My mom and dad use one for this (actually 2)
My dad is 73 and mom 72 if they can set it up and use it anyone can.
Good pictures and easy to use, long battery life. I tried 4 others with them and they were ready to give up. Thank god for Cabelas they took everything back with no questions! 😮

The one that blows up when they get near. 😈
