new gun coming wed
My Royal arrives wed……When one gets a new gun should the barrel be cleaned or should anything special be done to it prior to letting her rip? Also.and I bet you have heard this one before, do you guys ever bed the action in a airgun? Just a couple rookie questions 4 you. don

I think a couple of patches will be fine…..lol
I went to a benchrest competition, guy basically got the royale that week, mounted someone else’s scope at the match and won…
I really wouldnt do anything other than Rob suggested and run a couple patches through.
Tonka, I usually polish the barrel with find valve grinding paste then
automotive compound… Then I poish the crown with valve grinding paste. I
am almost positive that bedding a stock is for springers as you need the
action to be set as secure as possible for accuracy….
But that’s just me…
Run a couple clean patches through it…. thats it.
I have heard of some folks bedding the action, but to be honest, I dont think anyone is going to realize any difference bedded.
With the higher end guns like the Daystates and FX guns…. simply treat them like a sore peter…..dont screw with them….. and they will do you well.
