Quick marauder fix

I took my shroud of my Marauder today to inspect the baffles inside of it.

I ran through a couple big 21 grain pellets, noticed that they were kind of a snug fit. Same with my CP pellets.

Went out to my garage to the drill press.. I found a bit that would only expand the hole about 1-2 cm larger. I did that put through some pellets again, went through perfectly with a little room to spare, as in I could press the pellet down against one side of the hole and there would be a little clearance left above the pellet.

My gun is now shooting much better today. It was quite windy out but when I waited for the wind to die down Pellets were going where I was aiming. Did this test out at 60 yards, blew away some bottle caps etc… At 20 yards It was just point and shoot same hole every time.

Anyone who has a Marauder should do this to their baffles!

Just sharing some information that worked for me.

If anyone else here has some information on tuning the Marauder let me know, always looking for new things to make her shoot better!

Hi Matt and 80, Mam sent me this link. I found it very helpful. I actually removed that “torsion” spring all together, (I didn’t bother straightening it out). I used a legnth of paper clip that I wrapped around a 1/8″ drill bit and then cut such that it measured 0.100″ thick to use as a spacer. This lightened up the trigger immensely! It actually became a “match” trigger when I did this.
CAUTION!!! THE TRIGGER GETS VERY LIGHT!!!

I’m lovin’ it!!! 😀

Is your marauder an older model?? I recall they had problems with the holes in the baffles being too small on the earlier models…but they since resolved the issue…so I’ve heard.

Not sure got it last December, from a TAG member. Will have to ask..
