Q:

Hawke Frontier 8-32×50 OR Hawke SideWinder 30 Series 6-24×56

I have a question to you folks…
Lets say that you folks are buying a scope, which one you think is best?

Hawke Frontier 8-32×50

OR

Hawke SideWinder 30 Series 6-24×56?

I hope that you guys can help me with that, i really need a expert help on choosing a good scope and telling me the difference between 1″ tube and 30″ tube.
I need this scope for small to medium game hunting at around 50 to 100 yards with a .25 TT CONDOR fully, fully tuned.
Thank you folks very much for your help.

NOTE: In case you guys know a better scope with side focus for around 450.00 or less PLEASE let me know! Thanks again.

Dudu. 😀

Thanks Dudu,

That sure looks good but I can’t justify the added expense right now.

The Hawke 4010 6-24X56 should give me a great improvement over the 4-16X AF scope. I think the wider objective lens fmay be better for gathering light and field of view. If it isn’t milky around the edge like the AF scope I’ll be in business.

Dudu,
I’ve been looking for at the Sidwinder 4010. They appear to be fair traded (PRICE FIXING) at about $389. Some don’t charge shipping but some do.

Have you any more info? Hawke has scope mounts but I haven’t seen them listed for sale. I think I need a mount that is adjustable for drop. I have my AF scope shimmed 0.015″ but that isn’t recommended.

Sorry, i dont have anymore info about this scope.
I have decide to go with Bushnnel 6500 elite, even the 4200 still better than Hawke at very good price too, check it out:

8x is a little high for a minimum. It makes it hard to get a quick shot at shorter ranges when in the field. It also cuts down on the amount of avaliable light in the late evening.
When I hunt the most! 😉

I think either one will work fine.

A 32 mag seems like a mighty powerful scope, but I did not see an option for the mil-dot system on the 24 and this is something I would like and more then likely use so the 32 ao rather then the 24 I would go, there are alot of scopes on the market, and Optic-planet has a very large selection, I was looking at a 24 mag Weaver that I liked for around 366.00 plus an additional 13.00 for the mil-dots.
