Amazing crow mag accuracy…
When I first bought my SS I tried CP’s which shot good, meisterkuglens which shot good and crow mag’s which shot like crap.. I couldnt hit a half a dollar at 30 yards with them, the few times I did try them shooting pigeons was a total disaster.. either complete misses of maybe a few odd feathers.. I kept my little tin of crow mags on my reloading bench and open them ever so often just wishing I could hit with them.. well after a couple thousand shots through my SS I thought I would give them another try.. Dont ask me why or what or how ,but now… them jokers will shoot a 1 hole group at 30 yards.. I cant beleive it.. I tore 10 pigeons in half yesterday with them.. it like hitting them with a brick.. you hear click.. ku-thud.. and blam.. when they hit the ground.. the cp’s and miesterklugens do a good job on the birds but these crow mags are un beleivable.. I feel like I have a completely different gun… 😀

packrat… First the good news: You are in the right place to cut through the c.r.#.p. Just post a question to the forum and someone will answer. There are many people like me who like to share their hard won knowledge.
Beeman was recently bought out by another company (Chinese? Korean?) and I suspect this will cause a big shift with distributors selling the OEM products rather than rebadged. Hence you’ll see more references to H&N over the coming years.
Beeman collected the very best European airgun products and sold them under one brand for many decades in the USA. The World is changing and now people want cheaper guns of high quality. For example, manufactures produce guns in Germany under their original brand (e.g. RWS34) and equip a plant in China to produce the same gun under a different brand (e.g. Ruger Airhawk). The manufacturer catches both ends of the market with the same gun. The same as branded and off-brand batteries.
As far as pellets: H&N are one of a handful of brands I would recommend along with JSB. I would venture to say Crosman and RWS are a good second to look at but this forum is full of specialist users who have their own personal favorites. (open new thread) 🙂
One of the reasons I like the Talon is that its a USA company making a stunningly good product with tons of after market potential. I don’t say this lightly as I am an expat Brit who moved here five years ago. Which is also the reason I thoroughly endorse a company that’s been making pellets since the 1800s (H&N). Euro’s are airgun mad because we aren’t allowed firearms; something I’m glad to leave behind. 🙂
I hope this thread is helpful.
