Final result for my Audrius Regulated S410 Xtra FAC
Well after many evenings, over 1000 rds and a scuba tank and half of air I finally think I have my S410 FAC set at where I want it. I will need to order a few extra hammer springs and re-test again as I went one step too far and messed up my prior set-up. I should not have heated up the end coil to flatten it as that threw off the pretension of the hammer spring. To remedy my boo-boo I had to shim the hammer spring and that in it self proved quite the challenge. I was at one point able to get 80 shots averaging 851fps and a SD of 6.26 with 14.3 CP-HP but I lost that when I flatten the end of the trimmed coil. Beside, when switching over to the 16gr AA Fields it is not the power level I want.
So having said all that this is my 1 shot string broken up in to 4 parts:
Start fill was 2900psi and finished at about 1700psi. Regulator set at about 140 – 145 BAR. AA field 16 gr. Pellets.

My conclusion is that the Audrius/Audriusize Regulator seems to work well as long as you have time, patience, ammo and air to do the proper tuning and the rifle is in healthy condition. As well have a few extra spare parts on hand incase of any boo-boo’s that may/ will happen along the way namely the hammer spring and the FAC fire pot.
There is one other mod that can be done to the valve housing and that is to drill to extra hole beside the firing pot as I’m told that a reg’ed S410 FAC need a burst of air rather than a control flow of air through the firing pot. The reason to keep the firing pot is to hold the valve and valve spring in place. At this point in time I’m going to skip this mod.
Lastly, just want to say thanks to all that help answer many of my questions.

What he is saying is the old English Yew Longbows allowed the shaft of the arrow to leave the bow at a lower velocity than today’s recurve configurations, which achieved superb accuracy at the expense of higher velocity. This in keeping with Newton’s Second Law of Physics, that the reduced recoil resultant from allowing the bow string to continue its forward travel past the vertical axis of the long bow’s apex and apogee attachment points, permits superior control until the fletch of the arrow loses contact with the propelling force, thus keeping the horizontal pathway of the arrow remarkably free from artificial distortion resultant from the variables imparted by the kinetics of appendages of the person releasing the shaft. Further, target bows, both today’s high tech and yesterdays classic configurations, were short in comparison, but had higher velocity, which did not necessarily result in superior accuracy.

As far as the regulator and shot string…MAN that is looking’ DAMN GOOD..Looks like all the work was worth it, as the end result should have you smiling BIG TIME 😀 😀 😀
yes friends you say write and the old target longbows had string follow, to soften the kick of the bow in the hand, as accuracy was more important than arrow speed. And old or new target hunting bows is very small.
