This Volquartsen Ruger grip looks so similar to the Cros…
..man 22xx grips…I wonder if it could be “massaged” to fit with some shimming, etc. What do you guys think. If it worked it would be a good option at only 40.00

you want nice target grips for a 22XX you have really only to top flight choices out there.
the sweetest 22XX grips made are by Kuehn in Switzerland. I have 2 sets of these, very very nice workmanship…
either craftsman will set you back about a hundred with a couple months or more lead to production.
nothing else out there remotely compares in my opinion

I’m looking at possibly buying a Ruger Mark III, one I kind of like is a polymer grip slab side with a stainless fluted barrel upper. (they have it marked down for a clearance sale, )
Only thing I don’t like is the slab sides, but I don’t exactly like the “Target” grips on the Rugers either..
Is it identical to the Ruger Target grips, or a different shape?
Gonna check tomorrow to see if it is still there or check the other stores to see who else has it.
But….I may just hold out for the wood handled Mark III Hunter, (a bit more costly) figure I will have it a long time and pass it on to the grandson, may as well have something really nice…

I have that same grip on a Ruger MK3 Slab Side. I’ll check and see how closely it looks to be…. certainly wont be a drop in, but may work with a bit of alternate engineering.
The 2240 frames and Ruger frames are not the same dimensions.
I’m not sure but like you said if your frame is narrower I think it would be easy to fill in the voids it is a nice looking grip for sure maybe somenoe will let you know more about it I wonder if you do some searching if it will tell you the size of the grip inside dimenstions if you can find info one the manufacturer they would know, call Volquartsen they would know
Maw, I was hoping to get some feedback before I dropped the change. I thought maybe someone might own a Ruger like that and they can add their 2 cents…I would imagine the 22xx frame would be narrower than the Ruger frame….this would make it easier to do than if it was the other way around….
It would be a hell of a deal if it worked, are you going to drop 40.00 to find out.
