The safety bluak can cause your prolbem if you tilt the gun down uncocked it will move that bluak also if you do like Walk said that will also fix your problem either way it is not a big problem you just have to get it set right you also have to be careful with the trigger group if you had them out you can get one of the parts sitting in the group a bit wrong I don’t remember which one it was but I had a problem with that check out how things should go in Qucik Ref that helped me out and so did a couple members in her Walk was one of them!

Ok, I’ll work on it tomorrow.

Thanks for the help.

Okay, then I will tell you about the safety blauk.

When I removed my safety bar and springs, the safety blauk, where you took the spring off of closest to the muzzle, happened to be stuck in position to block the trigger mechanism, it no longer had a spring to power it, so the breech, like yours moves forward and backwards because it is now cocked and you can’t pull the trigger because it is blocked by the safety blauk.

I reread the instructions and saw that some remove the safety blauk also, it solved my problem.

Look at trigger components in the quick reference section, I think some guns you have to do this to to make them work without the safety. I have only converted one, so I am no expert, it is just what I had to do.

You will need to remove a pin to do this.

Tell him about the blauk guys, the safety blauk ❗

Make sure you put the springs and the trigger parts in the correct order. Maybe your gun is cocked. Look and see if your hammer is being held back by the sear

There is no tension on the sliding breech of the gun when cocked. It slides freely back and forth.

I removed

safety bar and 2 safety springs.

Did something move when I took it apart?

Give the sear spring a little “Stretch” and it will cock fine. You can even move it forward in its location as well to aid in locking up the sear.

When I reassembled the gun it wouldn’t cock. There must be something else that needs to be done.

The removal of the safety wasn’t to make the rifle shoot better???
The safety was so stiff..it made shooting a chore.

I practice gun safety everyday, carry a gun for a living.

Thanks

Now what?

Now you teach yourself a new shooting discipline.

You have removed the only mechanical safety your rifle had, and replaced it with a cerebral one.

It doesnt really make your rifle any better, or safer IMO. But I do find its a lot easier to de-cock. Just hold the bolt, pull the trigger and slowly let the bolt down to the tophat.
