How do you guys like the 18" barrels?
Anyone got any feedback and pics of your AF with a 18″ barrel installed?

I love my 18 inch barreled Talon.
I like it much more than the 24 inch and 12 inch barrels I have had.
More power than a .12″, handier and lighter than a 24″ 😉
caveat…. I shoot my AF guns on CO2…
I found little difference between the 18″ and 24″ barrels on CO2. Sold my .22 18″ barrel with the last talon I turned over. Still have a Talon with a .177 18″ barrel and one in .177 with a 12′ barrel. The 18″er will get me to a 30y target in a rough 1 inch group. The 12″ barrel on CO2 won’t do that, to much wasted gas I suppose.
I still have a .22 24″ barrel that I have not shot since last summer. It’s about time to swap it in and try it out. If i remember correctly though – on target performance was no better than my .177 18″ barrel, but it does hit harder.
Also have a .22 12″ barrel that’s do for a try. I find that I love the ‘new’ barrel, no matter what it is, as long as I wait long enough between swaps 😳
Jim I see you are getting along well with the Etac and jds ariman combo sounds good I will have to see what all you come up with I understand some of it but need to see what you have and I am sure I will have a couple questions just want to make sure I know what to order but the numbers are looking good I am glad you are persuing this some start and are gone hope everything works out well for you Eddie

Don’t have any cool picts like Eddie, but during my testing of the E-TaCREG I found the 18″ barrel to be by far the most efficient.
The 18″ barrel shot 51 shots at 887 ave
The 24″ barrel shot 28 shots at 916 ave.
Double the shots and only 29fps less.
Seems like a no-brainer to me.
BTW this was with a 22ci tank for testing only.

I have one Randy and like it well takes away some of the lenght on a 24 inch barrel and you will only loose aprox 100 fps which brought me in the 930 fps range and the way my gun is set up after playing around with top hat settings I love it and I really got it to cut down the size of my gun with a shroud I made my own shroud and made it 12 inches long to keep the over all length down picture attached! I have it painted black sense I took this picture.
