Q:

Talon SS questions

12 ft lbs is my goal. Using TSS 12 inch .177 barrel and micrometer tank.
Is it possible ?
Any suggestions if it is not possible.
It will be used mostly for target practice and the occasional grackel and starling.
Thanks.

Regular tanks.

All I needed to do was adjust the top hat on the second tank as it had some play between it and the breech.

Never used a micro… it may be quieter, more consistent, but I wanted full power on both.

Are both your tanks micrometer or the regular ones?

I shoot a 12″ Talon SS 177, for the same reasons.

I charge the bottle to 2600psi for 40-50 yard target practice (Kodiak Match/Barracuda Match) and short range (25 yard) pest removal with Crow Magnum hollow points. I thoroughly recommend those pellets although I have to hand sort the Crow Magnums for damaged skirts.

For back yard plinking and target practice I charge the bottle to 1300-1500psi and run it down to about 800psi. For crows/grackles you will get about 15-20 powerful shots before you need to refill. Shooting light wadcutters you’ll get nearly 100 rounds before needing to refill.

I bought two tanks, I keep one at the lower pressure and one at the higher pressure. When I go out in the field I’ll charge both to high pressure and I get 80 hunting/long shots and nearly 200 plinking shots.

I would hope so. Ask RobNC he likes that pussy .177 shit 😀
