Q:

Did you fellows see where Eric Henderson works for Airforce?

claims he is trying to get them to release a .452 bigbore

He and Leroy Roduner (sp?) of Gargoyle fame is doing the build.

Seems he thinks they are the first to do it. hahahaha

Any way thought it interesting that Eric is working for Airforce. Wonder what his job is? Maybe replacement for Tom.

Hi,

The welding was done by a factory welder, with good temp control and he did take attention for the bending, and the tube is FAT 😈

Did mill the rails after welding, and the tube did’t give a lot of readout on the micrometer.

how much warp is there when welding an aluminum frame like that ??,
ive always thought about it .

Yes, to much choice, and to less time.

Must look to my .22 workhorse, need some cleaning. 😕

Want to have the .25 rifle shooting. 😈

Have a regulated bottle for testing on an other frame. 😉

Chunky frame 😈

Nice!

AMAZING CHROME FRAME !!!!!!!

Chunky frame 😈

It’s a good thing they are making larger caliber rifles. The new trigger group and the stiffer frame are really effective… 🙄

Don’t get too deep into producing multiple products if your current products need some help.

Can you say iPhone4? 🙄

Airforce could easily make an airgun that got 5 good shots….lol

I am sure they are excited about having customers that would be satisfied with that…lol

What will be interesting is if they figure out the trigger parts they are using are a big weak link for the big bore needs. Maybe just maybe they will be smart and make them out of tool steel and we can use them in our guns.

Yeah making the .20 was a dumb move. That is the least sought after caliber.

Look at how many .25 Marauders Crosman is selling now, even though velocity is only in the 700’s at full power and gets you 10 power shots before you need to refill again.

Airforce would have to redesign or make a new Condor from scratch with a sturdier, structurally stiffer frame to support a big bore caliber. There is too much flex in the frame now from a 90fpe .25.

quote Harry:

but wouldn’t you guys think that before making any big bores, they would actually make a .25 first?

Of course not. They had to make a .20 first. I am sure they sold at least 5 of those 🙄

I ‘d like Airforce to make all those calibers mentioned, especially .308 .38 or 9mm, and preferrably one gun where I can replace the barrels(!) so I don’t have to buy a new rifle for each 🙂

It’s nice to dream… but wouldn’t you guys think that before making any big bores, they would actually make a .25 first?

How bout a one of a kind 38 spl. 158grn slug cruising faster then a handgun pb can put them out.

do a .308 please.. don’t need to go larger. This caliber will give ya all plenty of shots too and needed power. Accuracy will be good also.

I would like Airforce to see make… first and foremost > a gauge on their bottles, with a quick fill set up. And make an efficient valve.
And I would like to see factory .223 .25 cal and .308 guns. Use of polygonal barrels also would be nice to see.

Eric Henderson of http://www.bigboreairguns.com/index.htm

I met Eric and Rob3r at the Roanoke Airgun Expo last year. When I talked to Eric, he said, ” I don’t make or sell new airguns?”

Sam 🙂

Well all the information they need is here on the forum. It is a good bet they have peeked more then once what Voltar and Cygnus have to say 😀

They can have that guy spend months working it out or have Voltar and Cygnus do it in a few days for them.
