When switching to different cal.
I have a stock condor. And was thing of going to a .177 cal. Do i need to anything different with the tank or spring? Are they different in the calibers. Have a talon tank also. . Will use .177 just to plink.

I bought the condor package with the pump and all. I said I am a big guy in good shape pumping cannot be that bad. Well I was so afraid of burning out the AF pump I would pump 10 pumps and let cool. It took forever! Its not a matter of you strength and conditioning its the dam pump heat. I never filled mine from empty thanks to members here I got the guy at Cobra air to fill it the first time for me. I boughttwo scuba tanks and have never looked back! One tank new was 159$ well worth every penny! top off with the pump no problem, fill with the pump bring your lunch! More power to any of you that pump the dam thing! 🙄
tank dump sucks, i am a pumper and when i got my condor i did not know about the spring and retainer diffrence in the valve, after the third time i wanted to beat my dog!!!!! 😈 but if you want to convert your condor tank to .177 just order the spring and retained that holds the spring in the valve. the coils in the .177 spring are thicker and the retainer is shorter to handle the thicker coils. also if you put the .22 barrel back in the condor .177 tank works pretty good with lower power .22 shooting.
i shot my .22 condor with .177 cal barrel no problem. just lower your velocity and make sure the pellet is seated correctly . but to be on the safe side stick to the talon tank it would suck if you had a tank dump, well at least for me bc i have a pump
If switching to a .177 and using the Condor tank made for a .22 the valve spring will have to be changed to prevent tank dump. The talon bottle should work and would reccomend you stay with that.

I had a stock Condor .22 x 24″ and bought a .177 x 12″ barrel. I shot it a while with CO2 while my AF pump kept going out. It worked OK except for Daisy Flat Nose pellets were to loose and caused me to dump the tank one time. I got a good Hill pump and haven’t looked back. Then i went back to the .22 x 24″.
Now wish I had bought the .22 x 12″ for more quiet plinking. I believe the Condor high flow valve is over powering for many good medium size pellets. I have been having my best groups with the 24″ with JSB 15.9 RN pellets at under 1,000 Feet Per Second.
I’ve gone the opposite direction from most in that I’ve lightened my Condor hammer to get many more good shots at a more accurate velocity for the pellets.
What length .177 barrel are you looking at?
No doubt some more experienced than me will soon see your post and give some good advice.
