Q:

how to measure scuba tank pressure??????

i have a new Talon SS and got it with the Airforce scuba clamp and adapter. is there a way to measure scuba tank pressure, since the built in gauge on the clamp only measures gun tank pressure( and then it only measures gun tank pressure when you crack open the scuba valve) ?? on the flip side, is there a way to measure residual gun tank pressure prior to filling it up( i realize you would have to unscrew the tank from the frame to attach any sort of measuring device). thanks guys for any advice. as a newbie to PCP’s, this sight has been a gold mine of help and info!

Mike sounds like a good guy. I’ll have to make my way over there one day. Thanks for the pointer guys.

I also get mine filled at Aquasports and Mike has no problem filling to 3300 psi and he will let it cool if you leave the tank and top it later.

Thanks Airbud.

3300 might be to account for a hot fill (maybe) Where do you get your fills? I’m new here and need a shop. T.I.A.

What is the Max pressure of your scuba tank? You can use R.C.s method, assuming you have a 3K scuba tank???

my tank is 3000psi but the dive shop in Fresno fills it to 3300.

you’ll need a blind to close your fill adapter

When you fill your tank with the scuba tank, if you slowly open the valve, the needle will climb to what your gun tank pressure is and stop ie 1900psi.

When you open the valve on the scuba tank further, the needle will start to climb and then stop when the two tanks are equalized, that is your scuba tank pressure ie 2800psi.
