Q:

Help with safty problem please

Ok I pulled my gun apart without reading up on it first and when I undid the last bolt on the trigger guard the plate somehow stayed down. Then I touched it and pop it flew up the safety rod fell out and I was not sure where it came from. I put it all back together and the safety rod was rock solid so I did something wrong. I then pulled it back apart and somehow damaged the front spring see in photo. Do you think this will be a problem?
So does the safety rod go in front of that metal part shown in photo ?
If so it’s a tight fit when putting the trigger guard back on.
Can you still use the safety with a WOK GARD 15 ?
I put it back together without the rod and it works fine with no safety could this be because of the damaged spring? But I would like the safety back on and working if I could.
Is there like a blue print of this gun so one can see all the parts and where they go ?
Thanks for any Help you guys can give me.

The contest is what is the Avatar saying?

Ok thanks guys. Pulled it apart today put it all back together and it all works fine.
Got the new AR grip with the Wokgard 15 on and it looks great.
The safety is working fine again just a little hard to release but I will more than likely remove it all together soon.

Jerry I can look at it all day as well.

thx

I have no idea about anything in this post. But I could watch that avatar for an hour!

Ok that’s great I will pull it apart again tomorrow.
Sounds like it is no big deal that the spring a little out of shape.
Thx Adam big help

quote Tunnel Rat:

Ok thanks that’s great.
I was putting the rod in the wrong place as in the diagram it goes in front of the spring I had it in front of the safety slide that’s why I did not have enough length.
I also had the No1 spring vertical not horizontal like the diagram.

I am right with the rod going in front of the spring not the slide right ?

thx

You can buy it from airforce. The safety will also work without that spring. I did not have one for a long time. The bar will just rattle a bit

Thanks guys
That diagram is great are the numbers the real part numbers?

Looking at that diagram spring number one is vertical I put it back together horizontal like the other ones. Looking at my pic there will not be much room to lay it horizontal.

Where can I buy the parts from as I need a new safety bar spring 10302

thx
Rat

The safety can be used with the Wokgard 15.

To get you oriented here is a diagram.
Hope this helps.

The safety bar goes in the space that you show, right in front of the horizontal small spring.
