Take a look at this place and you can see how I did my conversion two completely different ways. Both worked absolutely great and have my seal of approval. 😀

If you are wanting to use the Crosman butt-stock for the 88g cartridge then you might be better off just getting an AS2250XT.

You can get parts from a variety of places.
B&A (Bryan and Associates) They have some real good valves and if you can get through on the phone, real nice guys to talk with (at least Ron is) never spoke with any of the other “associates”.
Grips can be had from many sources as well. If you want wood ones try Ricks Grips or Keith (he is back in business). Keith recently made me a nice set of blood wood combat grips. If you want plastic I believe Crosman will sell you a variety (though I’m not sure if they sell the 1399 carbine grip stock???)
Barrels can be had from B&A as well as AC custom parts. Alejandro from AC does great work to the barrels. I received a barrel with the full treatment (crown, polish {inside and out} counter sunk TP VERY NICE WORK! I also think Tim from Mac 1 has barrels (custom length and crown for 30.00) I would e-mail or call any about barrel availability as lately they have only had barrels in stock for short whiles at a time.
Power adjusters can be had from a variety of sources. A good simple one is from Crosman (I think it is from their 2300 custom..didn’t your son’s come with one?) Maybe I’m wrong. Just look up the files on the Crosman website you will find the power adjuster. I think it was only around 8.00
Arts shack has a nice aluminum adjuster body with a brass countersunk adjuster screw for 18.00. Don Cothran has three different aluminum adjusters for 25.00. Roy from mountainairguns has an adjuster with two adjustment springs (though I don’t own one) for 30.00.
I just ordered a trigger frame from Blue Fork Design. I am curious as to how the trigger will perform as it is a “drop in” unit and has everything included for 75.00 The beauty of it is it is like Woks in that you can use an M4 grip on it.
Hope some of this helps. I’m sure some guys will chime in. There are a variety of sites that offer pictures and inspiration, but I’m drawing a blank right now…but I’m sure you are familiar with some of them (airgun artisans, etc.)
WARNING: These pistols are very addicting!!!! Once you start messing with them, you will not stop. I have four different ones in various stages of development going right now, but I keep telling myself, “you will never be like Rob, you will never be like Rob, you will never be like Rob” 😆

njnoodles…lots of good advice given here already…here’s ONE way you could go…with th low press. reg. you can keep the FPS down to 450-700. and get a gazillion shots !!!
LOP is 13.5 inches from end of bottle to trigger, would be good for youth/ small adult..I built this one from a 2240-same as your 2300- bottle and regulator was only $75.00 shipped !!! Mine is 16″, .177 caliber..shoots 10.5 Crosmans at 640 fps…BIG FUN…little gun !!!
