Q:

Moly coat pellets

This if my first post for the site but I’ve been in the shadows for a little while. In fact this site is one of the deciding factors that added to me buying a condor.
Any way: I do a lot of reloading for my powder burners and was wondering if any one has tryed moly coating there pellets. Wanted to see if it would do the same thing as is does for some of my reloads. (smooth out the imperfections and hug the rifleing) I do stress “some” of my reloads. Because it dosen’t do any thing for a few of them. But I was going to spray some predators and some kodiaks to see the results. It will probably result in haveing to clean the berrel more often.

Thanks for the info. Did you have to clean the berrel to get it back to normal or did you gust shoot it out?
I have the moly and the predators gust dont want to spray and wast them if it has ben done with out good results.

I tried it, I had to shoot almost 40 rounds before the barrel became coated good enough for the velocities to stabilize. velocity gain was only around 20 fps.Personaly I don’t think it’s worth it, however I did come across a guy on e-bay that was selling molly’ed predators and a few other pellets..Don’t have the link anymore..
