Q:

I’ve been doing some demographic research for a gun show…

..here in Sunny Florida and I was surprised by many of the comments made by southern “powder burner” vendors in regards to the “spending habits” of Airgunners. In essence we were generalized as “Cheap Sons of bitches”.

I walked away from the last Gun show contemplating these harsh words with a sad heart. “Cheap Sons of Bitches”, ‘how could this be’, I kept asking myself?

I have not been at this Hobby (as an adult) for too long. It has only been a little over a year now. In that year, and many moons since I heard those troublesome words…I have come to the harsh realization that yes, many in the airgun community are in fact Cheap S.O.B.’s. Many deals on the yellow have showed me this, and although it was unfair of that “powderburner” to generalize, he was not completely off target, no pun intended.

My quest to start up a show here in FL will continue, but for now I felt like sharing a “cheap airgunning S.O.B.” one liner that I came up with (please feel free to offer any one liners [cheap airgunner related} that you may have:

That dude is so cheap that he uses a sifting screen to find all the pieces to his Daisy Shatter Blast targets then he glues them back together again! 😆

That’s funny.

In the military I’ve fired the M-9, M-4/16, M-2, Mark 19, M-249, AT-4, and M-60 (AVIATION), and M-240 B.

With that being said, I have a special place in my heart for airguns.

Some airguns are more than an AR-15 with the US $200 tax stamp, and US $600 can.

Good one!!! 😆 😆 😆

That air gunner is so cheap……….

………………….He’s so cheap, he tells every one he’s broke from all the money he spends on air guns. 😆

Or could be satisfied with a single shot pump type air gun… 😆

I’m not. 😕 😎

My expensive SK 22LR ammo is 10 cents a round and yields me sub 1/2″ groups at 50 yards… It’s super simple compared to what I carry for my pcp stuff (to the range and back)…

Somehow cheap isn;t the first word that comes to mind regarding airgunners. “Obsessed”, “Fanatic” and “Spendy”.

Single shot 12 ft/lbs, need an air tank and other stuff just to make it shoot, then a scope for $3500??? FT and other target type competition airguns cost the same as bench rest rifles and they DO NOT shoot to 1000 yards…

I think we may have to develop a list of words for powderburners. “Stupid”, “Narrow Minded”, “Dumb”, “Ignorant”, “Lazy”. 😆

Cheap? 🙄

I wish I had that kind of control Lurker….. 😆

As a realatively new airgunner I consider myself a minimalist. Talk about being cheep, 1 airgun, 1 shot, 1 dead tree rat, and just 5 cents for the pellet. So how much do they soak the powder burner for a .22 LR shell NOW? I enjoy being cheep and spending my money on dressing up my 1 airgun.

ROFLMAO…
That dude is so cheap that he uses the screen on his kitchen window as a

One persons definition of “Cheap S.O.B.” would be anothers definition of “Spends money wisely”. I think the reason most of us can’t get what we want from a “Gun” store is that we spend our money online too much.

I was at a gun show recently, and a vendor told me most airgunners are “whiny bitches” trying to look tough on the internet. But he said the exception was this one “Talon pellet gun” site that seemed pretty cool….

That guy’s so cheap he uses fishing weights for pellets!!! Which would probably be more expensive but sounds good!

quote Love my Talon SS:

That dude is so cheap he only owns a Talon Tune AAA rifle, a Rapid, Edgun and an Airwolf. 😆

Good sarcastic one liner, but how about one for the truly “cheap” bastards out there?

That dude is so cheap he only owns a Talon Tune AAA rifle, a Rapid, Edgun and an Airwolf. 😆
