Trajectory, Velocity, Energy Charts
I’ve compiled some data on the talon from various sources and put it into charts. No data for intermediate and ending values is available, so I used data from other pcp rifles shooting 14.3 grain pellets with averaging and exponential smoothing.
Let me know if you have data that says otherwise. I’m looking for chronograph data at ten yard intervals out to 80 yards -if you want to shoot through your chrony at that distance.
The charts are at the following URL: http://www.pdfhost.net/index.php?Action=Download&File=0c6e5e877d426846e220a07c4171aec6

That’s good to hear dollarhunt.
I once read that the dimples in golf balls help reduce drag. The small dimple in the nose of the CPHP may do something similar.
I can’t convince anyone to shoot through their chronographs at distance. A person could hide it behind a couple of bricks to protect the body, and shoot over it out to 50 yards.
With that information we could figure out exactly how much energy is deliverd at 50 yards.
