Top Rail modification/removal
After seeing Yellow ninja’s mod to removing the top rail, I decided to have a go at it myself.
Sawed off the top rail and milled it down and flat. Thats pretty much it.
Also, I profiled my fully threaded bottle collar so that it would fit properly in the frame, a little finishing work and it will be a good’un
Now I just need a Tri rail and do a side cocking mod and I’m happy with the frame…….for the moment.

AHhhhh Grasshoppa. Thanks for the explanation.
I’m aware of that saying and support it heavily.
It will add strength to the frame where the breech cut out is. Much firmer than the thin top rail on the frame.
I’m doing the side cocking mod anyway so I don’t need any space between the frame and the rail which was used for the cocking knob in the vertical position.
And finally, it will bring the scope closer to the bore which will help with vertical POI changes at diffrent distances.

Thanks, I can’t see much more to be done to the frame, Im going to add another grub screw from the top down onto the bottle collar for added security.
Next thing in the pipe works will be a Dave special E-tac look a like, I need a much bigger volume than a regular one, I am also in the UK and don’t have much spare cash for my “Hobby”
Time to start designing 😀
