Most big bore don’t have that many shots per fill, average about 3 to 5 shots max, more like 3 to me.
Jerry, do you know how many shots per fill its getting. Does something that big only get 1?
Yep, it’s not about the $$, it’s about who and how it was made.
The looks become secondary, I may not like some of the lines in a few of his rifles but that doesn’t stop me from appreciating the work and care that went into it’s creation.

Yeah, I can tell you that the price is not going to make economic sense to anyone who just wants an airgun to hunt with. You really have to have an appreciation for craftsmanship, art and a desire for a unique gun to cap your collection with or the price is going to sound awful high. Naturally, the guy that buys this gun will do so because the work is worth it to him and he won’t much care if anyone else sees it the same way.
I’ve been lucky enough to follow this gun from design idea through detailed design through production design mods and actual cutting of parts. The only parts not made from blocks of material are some superhigh psi screws and some o-rings. Every other part of that gun is handmade to the custom design. My Yukon that is still in work even has handmade aluminum bronze sealing rings where previous guns had special o-rings made of rubber.
For me, it’s really neat to see a creative design come together and get built. The bullpup concept is certainly not new, but making a .58 with big power and distinct looks is pretty neat. That first 100 yard group ought to make the buyer pretty happy too! I don’t know yet but I would not be surprised to find that this gun has another custom slug designed for it. I expect we’ll see 700 FPE numbers posted with heavies and more high FPS numbers with lights. I have no idea what tuning the customer will ask for…
Oh, BTW, the gun is not even close to complete. The stock is only down to functional fire checks configuration. It will no doubt get a lot more shaping and probably some carving before it is oiled. The aluminum bits will be polished and then anodized in a custom color pattern. The scope rail will get some curves and cosmetic attention as well. I expect the gun will have a much more refined look in a couple months…

That Barracuda Bullpup is 1 of a kind, I wish I have some cash to burn for that bad-ass. Damn, I need to save up now to get 1 of Gary bullpup some day 😆

From what little I know of Barnes guns, I would reckon its good for 3 or 4 ???
His other BIG calibre guns seem to manage that.
