Q:

Checking Parallax for ranging.

I decided to check the 30 meter/yard parallax mark on the 4 scopes I have today.

To range with I took an aluminum can and taped a piece of white paper with 6 centimeters marked. Sat the can @ 30 meters, should see 3 centimeter marks between 2 mildots with parallax set to 30 meters. 1mil should equal to 3 centimeter @ 30 meters.

Results:

Bushnell 3-12×44 dead on 3 centimers/1mil, sharp focus close to 30 yard mark on side Parallax turret

SWFA 10X42 dead on 3 centimeters/1mil, sharp focus @ 30 meter mark on rear Parallax.

RWS 4-12X50CI duh! 3.5 centimeters/1mil @ 12x soft focus bad AO & mil-dot reticle.

Crosman 3-9×32 uh! 2.5 centimeters/1mil @ 9x good focus bad AO & mil-dot reticle.

I was bored today and this was something to do to check parallax accuracy, will try this at 50 and 100 yards.

Yeah cool info!

I’ve been wanting to do that on my scopes as well. Good job!
