Thanks for the info. It sounds bulky. Does anyone have any photos of this setup? Just curious.
I’m using 2 ’60-min’ 4500psi SCBA tanks (87cu.ft. each) instead of 2 SCUBA tanks
(SCUBA tanks usually range from 80 cu.ft. @ 3000psi up to 100cu.ft @ 3500psi)
My SCBA tanks are filled to 4000psi at a local Scuba Shop for $5.00 each.
(my nearest paintball facility charges $7.00 to fill a PB tank and only provides 3000psi fills)
I then purchased a .
(I may still get a Shoebox at some point, but the booster was the better solution for me.)
With a 4000psi SUPPLY, it’s taking me about 10-15 minutes to fill a 91ci tank to 4500psi.
Later on, I’ll post how long it takes to fill different size paintball tanks to 4500psi
(beginning with different air SUPPLY pressures – i.e. 4000, 3000, 2000, 1500, 500psi)

A full, 3000psi 80 cu.ft. SCUBA tank should give you about 6 to 8 fills (from empty) for a 68ci 4500psi paintball tank, and about 10 to 12 for a 68ci, 3000psi tank. This is, of course, if you use 1 SCUBA tank for your SUPPLY air, and a 2nd, regulated, SCUBA tank for your DRIVE air.
Here’s a picture of a 3 SCUBA tank set-up (minus the tanks) –
You connect a scuba tank on one end. A 100 psi compressor on the other. Then the pump will us the compressor to boost the psi coming from the tank to the desired PSI in your paintball tank.

My current configuration is as follows:
[#1 SCBA 4500psi tank] -> [regulator] -> [Rocket Booster (drive) ] —> [Paintball 4500psi bottle]
[#2 SCBA 4500psi tank] ——————-> [Rocket Booster(supply)]
