.22 condor targets,75ft.# eunjin added
When i first bought the condor i spent allot of time tuning, and got burnt out , so i have left it alone for quite a while, shooting mostly Cabelas 14 g. H,p. ‘s at 950 to 1000 fps.
I tried the rws stuff first and they shoot real good but like no more than 800’s to 850’s, except the super dome will shoot into the 900’s but are better a little slower.
They Cabels hp s shoot very well for hunting and practice, will shoot just as good at 1000 fps as in the slower speeds, but i have flyer’s, i think weighting these pellets will eliminate allot of the flyer’s,butt i have only just started to do this.
These pellets will shoot as good as jsb for me as far as group size , but with the flyer’s it will always open the groups up, like trying to shoot 5 shot groups, i will get 3 in a hole and the 4th will open up so i shoot another and it goes into same hole and the first 4 .
There so cheap and 1/4” to 3/8” for the most part at 50 and the flyers will open it up to 1/2” , this is plenty good for huntin purposes, and i have taken cat size game at 70 yards with a head shot with this light pellet. ( and they are cheap)
well i guess i am asking for it but i have started to fooling around with the gun a little bit and trying out a few of the other pellets .
I bought like some of everything when i first bought the gun so i have shot all the pellets a little bit but not extensively.
Any way i have been trying to fine tune with Jsb’s after getting the cabelas hp flers so long , and trying to shoot for the smallest 5 shot groups.the jsb is much more consistant.
here are some of the targets that i have shot, i have found that the 14.3 jsb likes around the 970’s in my gun,
The 18 g jsb really tightens up from 930 to 950.
the 15.8 g like the 970’s also.

These are mostly cabelas hp and jsb.

this target is Kodiak’s , started out in the 800’s and they were shooting ok, when i first bought it i was able to gt a few groups like these , but i turned the gun up to shoot them in the 970’s and the groups are starting to tighten up,, i have never had the Kodiak’s shoot this good, seems like i get flyer’s at under 900fps but less in the 900’s .
going to keep playing with it and see what i can find out.
I think i am going to stay with the jsb 18 grain . for trying to get the smallest long range groups, unless these kodiaks keep tying to shoot like this. My best group so far at 50 yard has been with the jsb 18 g.
I will try and shoot 100 yards soon , so far all i have done is shoot 2 or 3 groups when i went to the range to shoot the big stuff, this is a group that i shot when the wind died down a little, i shot 2 or 3, this is average for the groups.

Those 3 touching were the first 3 shots, i am interested to find out if i can do this again or what i can get out of this thing at 100.
I have been reading all the guys post about the long range shooting and decided that i would put this stuff in the condor section for people to find who are interested in what the condor can do , i have posted some of this in other places but not in one thread.
Allot of guys give up on the condor because of the brute power and lack of consistency, but i am not going to give up , i will continue to play with this thing and see what i can get out of her.
I have done most of the tuning stuff to it my self, still have the condor valve, and stock hammer and extra weight.
These guns really have a sweet spot , when i top off my tank to shoot groups it usually takes a few groups to settle in before i can get the best group out of it.
when shootin for groups i fill to 1900 and only shoot 15 shot s to try for peak consistancy.
Any way , i am going to try playing around with some different pellets again and see what i can do. slow it down and try the rws stuff, and shoot allot of 50 yard groups.
Here is some Eunjin target groups. 50 yard groups

I have never shot the 28 and 32 grain pellets faster than like 700 or so , because i have always just shot them when the gun was set up for a lighter pellet. Well here is some 1000 fps groups. and high 900’s.
thats 75 foot pounds of energy. and under 1/2” at 50 yards , DAM 😯
I have some 3 and 4 shot groups that are in the .150 and .225 ” , So i am going to weight some of these 32 g euijins and try some more.

Hi Powderburner,
I can appreciate all the work you have done in your quest for the perfect groupings. I have done much of the same work in my short time here on TT. I have also found the same to be true in my groupings. Having tried cps, jsp, enjins and several others. The one thing that I did that has made a huge difference in my condor was getting the 2500 psi Etac reg from Jim. Its amazing how the accuracy improved with my Etac. I fill my stock AF Tank to 3000 psi and shoot it down to 1000psi. Because the regulator only lets in so much HPA into the gun it allows for a far more consistant grouping. It also allows you to still use the PW to adust for pellet weight. Now most pellets shoot good groups. Depending on wind and pellet wieght of course.
I love the Etac so far as it does what its supposed to do and more. Just having the air pressure regulated into the Etac improves its accuracy by a bunch. Mo more 2 shots to settle down the pressure. Just fill and shoot on target. An added bonus is also that with a TT shroud it quiets down the condors ping when shooting. No more bells ringing just the sound of the hammer slapping and the pellet thwacking.
It doesnt get much better.
Have a great day everyone.
