POI vs POV?
Hi there ive been reading alot about the Condor latley, mostly from this forum.
Been looking for a new gun since my old springer tossed in the towel for good acouple of weeks ago, and i decided the Condor would fit my needs.
In a few month’s i will be getting one myself, with a 25 cal barrel. 24′
What conserns me tho is the Scope height distance from the barrel.
How high is the mounting rails on the frame itself?
Just wondering, is it nesessary to purchace an adjustible 1 or 2 peice high ring(s)
to get the scope zeroed at longer distances?
My scope:
Its a middle class german scope.
Name: Jëger ( in english: hunter)
6-24×50 adjustible AO 1/8 click @ 100 yards.
Looking forward to be a Condor owner no doubt tho.

the scope needs to be raised so that you can see thru it, without mashing your face against the bottle so much. the scope is 3” above line of the bore with the air force scope rail i have mounted on it. If you have standard rings you can just get the air force rail, i already had a scope and standard rings so this is what i did.
the high scope mount , away from the line of the bore really only affects me at close range not so bad at longer range , because it makes your ipact change so much .

For instance i zero at 25 yard, 14 grain pellet 950fps, at 10 yards its like 4” low, at 30 its 3/4” high, 50 its 1 1/2” high, dead on again 70 then 9” low at 100.
I don’t really have a hard time with it. i am used to rainbow trajectories, but a mil-dot scope would be real nice , haven’t had one yet.
There is allot of cool stuff for these guns, i havent spent more money, added any of the cool stuff , just a shroud, maditory unless you live where you can shoot a 22 long rifle any way.
But the e tac and regulator is going to be something that i may have to have. These rifles are just getting started at 50 yards, you can sit and knock coke cans around at 100 yards.
The first time you pull the trigger on a pcp you will be amazed, no recoil, you will be able to see the pellet impact because of the lack of recoil. And that is cool.
I like to shoot , and a Pcp with a good scba or scuba tank will let you shoot allot. I never set down or shot more than maybe 1oo time’s with my springers , but man you can go thru the pellets, so stock up.
I’ve had WOK’s butt 3 times, errrrrrrrrrrrgh, I mean I have 3 WOK butts. They are the BOMB! 😉
Hehe yea thx for the input, i decided at first when i get the condor id only spend cash on the most basic equipment/upgrades like hammer and barrel, but that etac thing might help with the whole high ring thing and reduce the variable between the scope and barrel at long and short ranges short especially.
Ofc gettn the World famous Wok butt is a must, atleast later on if not right away. ^^
Ah so there is not that much to worry about with a high power pcp then, well what can i say.
ive only owned springers in my life so far, all of them crappy to be honest, gamo’s and 1 uh.. cant remember from east europe somewhere. max effective range i had on them all was aprox 45-50 yards :S
after that velocity was to low and bullet drop got the better of the bullets.
At 50 yards + i ended up running out of clicks on my scope to compensate for it.
Guess i underestimated the Condor a bit.
Or more correctly dont have the propper knowledge about ballistics and such.
If you buy the short canted ETAC that Marmot miltia sells, you can use medium rings. I have them on all three of my rifles. They move the tank lower and away from your cheek.
It helps a lot on getting the scope heigth right, but I still use the bottom duplex where heavy joins the narrow for very close shots. On my cheap Baraskas on 3 power out to ten yards it works fine.
Wok’s, Wok butt ,that he sells, also helps, but I have not tried Woks butt like so many others here have. 😎

I don’t think the max (effective) range on a condor 125 to 150 yards…is a long enough distance to be concerned with the bore to sight distance.

Thats problably going to be my biggest challenge i guess, getting used to rainbow trajectories.
thank god for chairgun pro itl at least make the studdy on understanding the trajectory easier and hopefully achieve a faster learning curve with it.
I guess its true what my old sergeant said tho. “u dun know crap bout yer rifle until uve fired atleast 4-5000 rounds through it”
hmm maby i should get a laser for close range just to make it alittle more easier.. wish i had my old green laser @ 500mW, but then again i wouldnt need any pellets to take down what ever id be aiming at ^^
