Q:

Crosman Premier .22HP @ WalMart.

While at Walmart the other day noticed they are now Stocking Crosman Premier .22 14.3gr hollow point pellets 500 count @ $6.97 per tin. Bought 2 tins today an upon opening, Found them to be very clean with no graphite? I washed em with denatured alcohol, which was a waste of alcohol, just a few shaving in the bowl. No bent or deformed pellets.

Lubed them with Finish line Krytect and waiting for em to dry. Going to try then in my condor with a 2000psi fill and if that don’t work, Co2 will.

These should be ok for Varmints and Starling and also Plinking.

Sam 🙂

Ah, but they are the most American of companies – buy your goods at the best available price. There isn’t anything closer to the American ideal than that!

yeah, yeah, yeah….how do the .22 caliber HP’s shoot in your airguns???

I bought a tin of those, and I hope you have better luck than I have. It seems to be 50/50 on loading. Some are snug, others fall in. I’m using them with my Shoot-um-later traps.

Yep! Just had one fall out the breech, had to hunt to find it. Took it back to the house and dropped it into the barrel and it went 99% through. Used my Weed Eater cleaning string to push it out. The choke was barely holding onto it.

So far some are snug and the rest fit good, only the one to fall through so far. Killed a black bird @ 35 yards. Accuracy is good so far in my condor.

I tried them with my condor. Fit is ok sofar, none were tight or loose. Using a 2000psi fill and refill at 1200psi. about 20 good shots. 50yd accuracy seems ok. The Walmart Crosman .177 have been fall in to always loose in my RWS rifles and use only for plinking!

I’ve found them to be hit or miss…. but mostly ‘hit’… I use them in a variety of my guns and often with good results. Certainly good enough for informal plinking… but for hunting, I’d prefer a bit more consistent pellet.

I haven’t checked for accuracy after seeing how loose they fit. It will be interesting to see if they shoot better than they fit. Let us know how they work for you.
