Q:

I’m on a quest, I need your help.

Guys,
I’ve started machining scope sidewheels in my spare time 🙄

Here’s what they look like on a Hawke Eclipse 30SF

The sidewheel proper will be standard, the adapter/hub will be machined to fit a specific scope….that’s where you guys come in.

I need you to measure your sidefocus turrets. Diameter and thickness.

I’m going to start a database so I have the numbers when somebody orders one.

Leapers/Accushot Same Measurement for the 4-16X56,
6-24X56, and 8-32X56 SWAT Sidewheel

Diameter = 29.40mm
thickness = 15.00mm

Leapers/Accushot 3-12X44 Mini SWAT

Diameter = 27.50mm
Thickness = 15.00mm

BSA Tactical 8-32X56mm

Diameter = 26.80mm
Thickness = 12.35mm

Your gear is top notch in my books. 😉

Just going to look at some nice scopes that dont break the bank.
Search Criteria:
50mm Obj’s
Adjustable zoom
4-32 minimum to max magnification range.
Mildot
Illuminated, optional.
Return to zero helpful.

Marmot_Militia is a damn straight shooter.

My Sidewinder did indeed come within .001 of yours. You probably just suck at measuring…LOL!!!!

Here is my personal wheel on the Sidewinder. Unfortunately the illuminated reticle will not be able to be used. But I cut enough clearance so it doesn’t get turned when ranging.

No worries Jim, though it did crucify my newly pinned together hand (all say ahhhhhhhh!)
Did your sidewinder come up the same as mine?

Hey Pabs, YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!

I have the Hawke Sidewinder and the knobs are similar to your scopes. I figure if the sidewheel were to go over the larger knobs, longer set screws could secure it. I’m going to test it on the Sidewinder and let you know.

These are dimensions for MTC Viper 8-32 x 60
Please note in picture that the wheel has to pass over the ir ret dial, and more importantly, on the side focus knob 2 of the knobbles are bigger than the rest.Its these I measured from(of course)

Dia- 1.370
Thickness- 0.382

These are for Hawke Sidewinder 4-12X 50
Sme design as Viper.

Dia- 1.412
Thickness- 0.357
