I am proud of these targets.

I don’t say that often – “proud”. So, I’m sure you already looked at the photo, and are asking, “So, what’s the big deal? Just more 1.6″, 10-shot groups done by the Edgun?”

Well, let me preface further description with the following anecdote:

I’ve always had a steady hand. My grandfather would say that when I walked around his farm with my .22 that there was a sphere of death surrounding me. It was curtains for any critter inside 35 yards. But, I never took long shots because I did not understand ballistics and windage.

Fast forward 25 years, and I’m finally starting to learn that you CAN take long shots and you CAN shoot in the wind – so long as you understand the “rules”.

So, take this into consideration…the two groups were my only 100 yard target of the day (the only two, not the best two). And both were shot with a rifle sighted in at 50 yards – using a 6 mildot holdover and 3-6 mildot windage adjustment. It was blowing at 10-15mph (gusting to 20mph) today in rural Wisconsin.

I did my homework before going out, and it paid off. But, a big part of me still couldn’t believe it was working. I was watching pellets start off without any hope of hitting the target, and then hooking into the “orange” like they were being pulled in by the target itself. What’s more is that the two targets were place 3-4 yards apart, but the POI stayed almost exactly the same.

I am HOOKED on this wind shooting. I feel like the training wheels have been removed.
