people on TAG selling guns
I’ve only been on here for a year or so, is the rate that guns are being sold average for this site? Its seems a lot of people are parting with their AF guns.

Without sellers, I would not own my Condor.
I bought it used for $500 shipped, and it came with a $200+ Kobra red dot on it, an AR15 palm swell grip, a fake AR15 magazine that was used as a vertical foregrip, and a muzzlebrake.
Total cost retail would have been at least $900.
Ive made up the difference with pellet costs, a wokbutt, trigger parts, springs, hammers, materials to make my shrouds ect… and I couldnt be happier.
I will regulate this beast one day.

Whenever I buy anything, its half the price at least of its true cost as far as the wife knows. I’ve caught her out many times doing the same thing to me. I’m sure we automatically double whatever we are told… 😆
Like many others, I’ve bought/sold a dozen or so in the last 9-10 months, including a 1250 Dominator, and a TalonSS…searching for “my” perfect gun…It ended up being the Air Arms S410, .22, FAC,Carbine……for me it is “the” airgun..Still have some Crosman 22xx’s that I shoot, and tinker with, but I believe every guy should have one “upper shelf” QUALITY airgun…Like I said, for me it’s the S410..It is perfect with NO modifications…not true with the TSS, it needed LOTS of stuff to get it right for me, but I admit there are times, still, that I wish I’d kept it, just for plinking around..But not as my over-all best gun.
Point I’m trying to make is that I think LOTS of us have to go this route before we finally come to our senses about what we actually want/need for an airgun….just the way we are 😕 😕 😕

hehe, moods change. I bought a lot of nice stuff because others hyped it. Turned out that much of it wasn’t for me. Also bought a bunch of cheap stuff because it looked like fun and was, well, cheap. The collection stopped growing and started getting smaller when I lost my job (imagine that) but I didn’t stop buying and trying, just made sure I sold more than I bought.
I experimented a bit with the AF, thus the turnover. (need for shrouds being the primary culprit – I got challenged by my pop’s neighbor, I shoot over there a lot and don’t need the stress)
I do have an EV2 on the way. It’s a possible replacement for the HW100. I will need to sell one of them but I have to try the EV2. It’s sort of a happy-re-employment gift to myself. ((Standard request = DON’T tell the wife))

Personally, I’ve bought and sold 20 airguns in the past year. Looking at just AF stuff, that number would be 6, I think, over the past 2-3 years. Still have 2 in the stable and they are keepers by my current definition. But that’s the problem – when the mood changes, the collection changes.
As much as I enjoy shooting powder burners, there are simply things that you can’t do with a powder burner. I can’t shoot the rats with an M-1A, even it did have a silencer. Shooting ground squirrels with a .44 magnum doesn’t fly around here either. The quiet, high performance of the guns we are using is unknown to the average person, and maybe it should stay that way.
My .25 Marauder is a heavy rifle to be sure. However, it is doing everything that I want it to. The selection of ammunition makes this possible. The Crow Magnum is a great pellet for the rats. It blows a huge hole and anchors them well. The .25 grain JSB King is accurate and hits hard. The 31 grain Kodiak works great also. I haven’t tried the Eun Jin’s, yet.
I like my PCP airgun collection. I think that it is here for a while. A far as others selling, they are seeking something that they haven’t found yet. Just that simple. Guns are like shoes and they fit us differently. So what works for one doesn’t work for another. It just doesn’t fit right. So, they sell it. I’m sure that there are others that are unloading their problems. Most obvious is the lousy economy and the push to “recycle”.

If you didn’t try the E-TaC you sold out to soon. Or maybe you cobbled it up and decided to pass it on while it still works. Just a couple alternative explanations we probably won’t hear.
I know the insane drive to go for MAX power has still got a small hold on me but I’m fast learning how accurate my Condor can be at less than e=m(c)squared.
I felt the E-TaC would be like pointing with a crooked stick, but was I ever wrong. With my Wokbutt on the end of the tank with E-TaCREG, this thing aim perfectly naturally.

I guess the only reason I bought airguns is because of the noise. I don’t think I would ever sell mine unless silencers become legal in MN. I like the power of a .22 with none of the noise. Now having joined this site Ive seen the Edgun and the Barnes Barracuda which I would also like to buy.
I would much rather buy powder burners, but mine never get used. What the hell am I going to do with a 20mm, which I will buy when my dam remodel is done.
well to me i can shoot powderburners anytime i wanna
and with the power of powder over air and ease of use why use air?
i mean i did like my airguns but i really like powderburners

I never got used to the bottle for a stock. Couldn’t get my head on the same place consistently. Just not as comfortable as a normal stock.
Despite having some problems with it, I did like the condor. Just didn’t have much use for it, and towards the end there it was just collecting dust. 🙁

Bad thing about the bottle is that if you hold the rifle tight you can effect the poi. I don’t think anyone who has a AA .25 Condor is quick to let it go, it’s what the Condor is supposed to be. 😉
The bad economy is partly to blame, lots of folks in the hurt…
Soon I will be faced with having to sell one if not two of my rifles. I do not want to part with any of them and choosing which ones it will be is going to be a difficult decision.

Ive got 2 condors and a talon SS and all three Marauders and both Discoveries, and 3 vaults full of powder burners.
All my guns are keepers, i don’t intend to sell any of them , but if I do it isn’t because they are rejects, I also have 4 break barrels and one multi pump. They all shoot good.
They were prepped right and shot right and treated right, and just today at 50 yards at over 900Feet per second my Condor 25 caliber shot a 1/2″ group and was on target. Powerful air rifle, and Tony is where the 25 caliber stuff came from, I have the talon ss for the 800’ds per second with the 20 grain pellets and Just bought the Dong shroud off of here and that made it super quiet.
Ehhh no use going on and on, but I agree most sell because of the she devil LOLOL. And some run into unforeseen problems so I won’t put 100% of the blame on the Ladies out there LOLOL.
All of the air rifles are good, some better and some abused, but mine is doing every thing they were advertised to do, and I don’t use those crazy (Hog LOLOL) killing raptors. Too light and slow down too fast.

Oh the Condor was shooting 43 grain pellets in 25 caliber,more power and weight than a 22 CB cap and less noise with the shrouds Tony makes.
