yeahhhhhhhh, im not so sure about that , but I could be wrong.

Here’s one a lot of guys use its free from hawk optics so your not going to get a virus or anything

http://www.chairgun.com/

it has 177 20 and 22 caliber graphs .

just punch in your info .

http://www.airguns.net/trajectory.php

this is what i have been using , for trajectory chart ,it seems to be some what differant than the trajectories you posted.

I have thought about another frame for playing around to keep my 24” 22 set up for the shots of opportunity. but dont think i am going to do that , i will just use the gun however it is set up at the time.
Only shooting one gun has its advantages.

I have not set up targets at 10, 15, 20 , 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 and shot to see and map out the actual trajectory of my gun at 800 fps with the round nose 14 grain jsb but i am going to just for kick’s

It would also be fun to get a competition going with targets at unknown distance with the field target rules.and post them , so we could shoot for scores against each other. Run what ya brung.

AHHHHHHHHH dont worry about it.PB, if your going to box , your going to get punched in the face, nobody starts out as world champ . you learn and advance , Its allllllllll part of the big picture baby. 😉

I just recently bought a 18 inch 177 barrel for my Condor . but the thing is I dont want my valve and bottle messed with . I want a seperate bottle for my 177 .
but things have been tight so i dont know when im going to get one .

I wanted to speak with Tony about a 177 tune for FT with a new bottle .

Im sure Tony could get it @ 900 fps consistantly.

at least thats where Im headed with it .

Now, I like my .22 for long range shooting , and im not so willing to give that up . It might be cheaper for me in the long run to just get a TX.

I checked chairgun and at 20 ftpds with a 30 yard zero :

an 8 grain has inch of drop at 50 a ten gr has 1.5 inches of drop at 50 at 950 fps or 20 ftpds.

a 15 grain .22 has 2.75 inches of drop

and the 15 grain needs to be around 750 FPS .

twice the room for error , plus the velocity drop doesnt make this a great choice for FT. IMHO.

The yellow forum has a section for FT and lists the places and dates

Try my new paper targets design for cal.177 and cal.20/.22/.25

😎

Hold over do you have a 177 air force. if you do lets get er tuned in for this field target thing. 😉

JSB , AA , and crosman make a 10 grain pellet for 177, so you could run them at 940’s , adjust your gun into this velocity at the peak of your curve and get 15 to 25 shots at top consistancy and see which pellet shoots the best.

I don’t have any idea where to look for a field target match, but by the looks of the rifles on line that the guys are shooting,it would be fun to go at it with them. dam $ 3000 rifles. ??

Dont know if i could compete , but it would be fun.

Hell i just might make my own field target course.

Excellent shooting! Id say you are there.

Like you said before the shot to shot consistancy is tough to master .

I still think that the 177 shoots flatter @50 yards with 900 fps then the .22 with 750-800 fps.

But overall still great shooting !! Now go win one for the TAG!!

shot a couple more targets tonight ,36 Yard

JSB 14.3
the string for this target , 36 yard 798sighter.809.804.803.805.//800sighter802.806.793.805//.796sighter796806794.797// 799sighter803.797.801.796

Good shooting! especially for low powererd .22.

I really think the .22 is underpowered for FT matches , just to heavy for 50 yards with that low power.

Voltar is right you need to smack that bull first time , everytime (at least thats the goal)

I belive the 177 is superior in FT because the power is sufficent to give the nessasry accuaracy.

Now when I fired my .22 on low power I had bad results , all over the paper @ 50 yards. but give it some power and its a tack driver.

I was considering doing the same thing you did , drop the fill to 1800 -2000 and use 177 on a low power setting . maybe take the hammer out or change it .

I can tell ya one thing , it’s not easy finding the sweet spot and getting the gun in a consistant string

Oh the hours I spent setting mine up… Then I got a blod valve, learned its ways and could then set up for 20 tight shots in about 10 minutes. It was always fun and very satisfying. Then I got bored of that after two years so I got me a reg 😆

PB, that has promise!

I’m wondering how shooting at little kill zones will compare? 🙂

Walter
I have mostly been trying to learn the gun , and try and find the sweet spots for the gun to have some consistency , i have been doing this for allot of different pellets, so i haven’t really tried shooting one pellet per target when the gun was shooting at peak for a given pellet.

I can tell ya one thing , it’s not easy finding the sweet spot and getting the gun in a consistent string
The condor will put 3 shots in one spot allot , but it wont do it for 5 very much.the impact moves around until you get it in the sweet spot then it will gives some consistency.

This will be one of the next things that i have wanted to try and do .

Here is a couple of targets that i shot messing around,

Some nice groups there.

For field target they gotta be in the bull. Can you do a target one shot per and see how that flies?

Cheers,
Walter….

Good shooting PB!

That’s a well tuned machine right there!

Thanks Pab, I aint thru yet. 🙂

Holy shit PB they are some tight strings 😯 😎 😎

Beautifully tuned and set up mate!!

Oh yeah, good shooting too!!
