Q:

New Powder burner for SAW

Well, I finally took some time off work 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄
Man I need like 10 days, anyway I ventured up to Parker, Az
to do some shootin with my newest toy, a Rem. 700, 223
Tactical, has a Houge stock, and a heavy barrel, the finish is awesome.
Parkerized or whatever.
I stole the Nikko 6-24×44 scope off my talon 😎 😎 😎 😆 😆 😥 😥
Well the first thing I did was to pull the bolt out and sight the barrel to the scope, oh yeah I got warne rings and a picatinny rail set up, ahem $200.00 🙄 🙄 🙄
Well back to the story, this gun is a pure joy to shoot, I put like 1000 rounds through her 👿 👿 👿 👿
I sighted in with like 3 shots, and the rest is history
@ a 100 yards things go boring, I could hit these bronze squares all day long{got them at work, samples left behind]

Then, cause I did not believe you guys I shot 3 layers of drywall spaced apart like a wall, and that is one more than a wall, actually Dense Glass
5/8″ drywall with a fibreglass skin on it, well I would not wanna be on the other side of it, some of you claimed the 223 shattered through drywall, and I never believed it, well, here you go

and the last drywall piece exit

I have a vid of me shootin the 700 but I am too cheap to upgrade my photo bucket and I can not upload 😳 😳 😳 😳

Later Fuck-nuts

I know a guy that burned out a .223 PSS w/ 6000 rtds. of blackhill 52/53grs.? in 3 months, when he 1st. got it it shot 1/4″ 5 shot groups all day. When the barrel burned out it looked like a shotgun target! Remington’s C/S was awesome though and replaced the barrel free of charge and it only to about 2 weeks.
Fine rifle you got there!

Burned out .223 in 6000 rounds? What kind of soft barrel are they using? 😆 Should have gotten a blaser. 😉 Buddy has a .223 with 7000+ rounds through it, been varmint hunting and the whole deal, so it wasn’t babied. He said it has less than 1mm of throat erosion, and shoots like it was brand new. He reckons he will easily be able to double his shots, probably much more, before the barrel is completely worn out. 🙂 😀

LOL!!! It was $580.00 at the time out the door vs. $2800.00 not many out there willing drop that much. No doubt Blasers’ are beautiful and accurate guns!

Thats probably the jacket thats coming apart.

And saw, I was the one that said it wouldn’t go through a lot of drywall. How far away was your wall? If you set it up like that, it may very well go through some. The test I saw had it set up like rooms. First drywall was about 10 feet away, then one 6″ past that. Then a big 12 foot space, then another two layers 6″ apart, another 12 foot, and then the last wall.

See the size of the hole in the last board, and those little indents around it? That is not an expanded bullet. It is coming apart and fast. Try setting it up like I described above and I’m betting it will do like I said. If you do it like that, and then it still blows big holes through all the walls, I will admit to being wrong and you being right. But I am betting I will not be wrong. 😉

Otherwise, good shooting! 😀

I was at around 30 yards

Well what range were you at when you shot the dry wall?

That’s great that you got what you wanted. Guns are like shoes, you gotta pick what fits you. Personally, I like .308. Your right though, it is more expensive to feed.

Originally I wanted 223, the salesman said he could a 308
My paper work said 308, the 223 came in
I could have gone either way, totally glad It ended up the way it did, cause my mini-14 is 223 too, and much cheaper to shoot than the 308. Ha I almost ordered a shit load of 308 🙄 My buddy with his M1A1 would have been stoked !!!!!!

SAW

Hi Saw, I thought you said that your rifle came through in .308? I guess that I read it wrong. Those are straight shooting rifles to be sure.

P B-

Yeah I know, the prob. Was it was 110 out there, the targets got all shot up, too lazy to leave the easy-up tent
Next trip, it will be cooler out and I will do a better job of showing some groups
