Q:

More power!

Here it is in a nutshell…

I want to be able to shoot Jerry’s 9 ring 88.8’s at 800fps! What do I need? I’ve contacted 3 different people about heavier springs and hammers and NONE of them have been able to come through! And I refuse to pay $80 for a hammer.

Please don’t tell me I need a specific item to generate power just to get me to buy your buddies parts.

Any and all advice regarding this matter is greatly appreciated!

I was even more stunned when the breech split and blew the bolt handle into my wall.

I didnt feel like fuckin with it after that.

😯 😆

Men just can’t leave stuff alone. We are always tearing stuff apart and striving to improve. Hell we’d even try to improve on perfection if we had tools laying around. Kind of reminds me when my dad got pissed when I was around 14. I took the head off of my moped and I was grinding(destroying) the block with a grinder thinking that I was going to be able to replace the puny moped piston with a piston that I found in my unlces garage from one of his Harley’s…I suppose I was well intended! Needless to say, I ruined my moped that day.

I dont know enough about this subject to predict sucess.

During the brief time I had the Brad Valve ane the breech destroying spring, I was pushing 43gr EJs at 1025fps pretty consistently.

I was stunned at the 200fps increse over the stock condor valve. I was even more stunned when the breech split and blew the bolt handle into my wall.

I didnt feel like fuckin with it after that.

fill the tank with ether
then put a strike anywhere match in the breech 😈 😈 😯

did you PM Rowdy he hooked me up with a homemade heavy hammer and a spring
the spring was a tad heavy but he had a place he got it from that had others

so far the best speed i get with the fishing weights is 128grn at 844fps

Sub sonic fishing weight laucher

what speeds r u looking for my 22cal condor i can get 1500+fps with the 14.3grn and over 1200fps with 21grn search my post i have all the info typed up here

What about a ball the size of the golf ball should I try it and patent it when it lets out incredible dumps of air? HAHAHA, I’m MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve always wonderred about a round delrin valve instead of the bullet shape one.

I would love to hear someone break the mystery of making the Condor set-up more powerful, but so far we are at a stumbling block on the valve arrangement, if someone could make a valve that openned alittle easier for that longer duration and still go shut again we would be going somewhere for sure.

using Seans 9mm valve, alloy breech, hammer and spring set on a 9mm Career barrel of a bit over 23″ in length using 88 grain Pelletman conicals I have broken the mid 900 FPS range
thats no power wheel, just using spacers and not a great deal of experimentation.
Sean figures the kit should run in excess of 200 FPE which I do trust him on

Have a loose DAQ .308 blank I may have set up as well

In my opinion 1000 FPS with a .308 projectile of that weight is probably a bit optimistic unless you run an exotic gas like Helium

what you got?

I was hoping, my 308 will go be on the 1000 FPS by using Jerry slugs 308 cal, 119 grain 😆

The fastest I’ve heard of so far was in the 900’s, so I’ll believe it when I see it, I think it would take more psi and a extreme hammer and spring set up, maybe take the powerwheel out you could do it.

the parts sean made for me seem to be a bit bigger and longer than the standard parts which did not give enought travel space between the hammer and valve. So when the hammer strike the valve, it could not open, so Trek ended up made new hammer and breech for me.

I also purchased additinal valve from Sean to replace the stock valve for my .25 cal, that valve also longer than the stock valve, it won’t even fit in the AF CO2 adapter, but if I attach it directly to the tank, then it fit perfectly.

quote Riverside:

those are Blodknob valves and the 0ne on the left is a 9mm Big Bore valve
I really don’t know if I would advise dropping a 9mm valve on a .25
if I remember right Pabs did it and stated it felt like it was going to tear the gun apart
that aside, the 9mm valve has a Much larger bore and top hat
I dont see how its easily adaptable short of using a custom breech and even then you will be running one heck of a bottle neck at the breech
never tried it myself and I have two of the big valves

Yeah, I had zero success with mine. Just couldn’t find a way on funneling that big output down to the much smaller .25 bore without the breech trying to eat my frame. If you could lock the breech in place it would work.
Don, how did these other guys get it working ok?
Also, how do UK and US frames differ 😕 Apart from the powerwheel of course… I had a US Condor frame and all the parts I had were interchangeable.
