Thanks for the encouragement JD(grin) I don’t have a three day weekend but do intend on spending some quality time with the FX Royale non the less.

That is a fine looking gun. Looks well made too. I like how the magazine system doesn’t need a super high scope mount.
My Royale should show up Friday but were I to have a redo after seeing this thread I likely would of gone with the R10.

No no FVA the Royale is a fine gun as well- I know dollarwise its a little more steep. The shot count on the Royale is tremendous particularly when set in the 30-33 ftlb range. Ive got to shoot the r-10 in, to figure the story on shot count. It is true that you kinda need high scope mounts for the Royale- due to the magazine fitment. They are both really cool guns. Ive got a 3 day weekend this week -and I am gonna shoot the hell outta all of them. 😉

Beautiful gun! I was thinking of getting one as well but went with a Royale that should be here by the end of the week. Now i want to change my mind(grin)
Be curious to hear your thoughts as you have both. Is it as quiet as the Royale?

The r-10 is quiet – probably sounds about as loud as your EdGun which is pretty darn quiet -atleast the one I shot was quiet. Shooting the R10 indoors it has a slight bark – outdoors its absolutely silent. shooting the royale indoors there is for sure a some bark – outdoors its again its absolutley silent. They are both quiet although I am only shooting my Royale at 31ftlbs- at 35-36 ftlbs its loud.Ive already put more than a half tin of 18gr JSBs through it- today I am gonna chrono some Kodiaks and also some 16s… will post some shot strings a little later on this evening.

I didn’t know the R-10 was regulated…

If BSA has gotten their QC issues worked out, this gun could give the Royale some serious competition. It will certainly put the hurt on Windy City sales.

Wow! That’s great. 😀 Thanks for the pic of the shroud internals.

Put me first in line on the list for “Who gets to test it next”.
When I have tested it thoroughly, I’ll send it on to the 2nd on the list….

I’ll PM my address later….. 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

Nice purhase…

This is my first regulated gun so its gonna take me a good while to figure out what she likes as far as fill and hammer spring and all– Ive already turned some tension out of it. I already know shes a keeper!

That IS a nice looking rifle !!! Having just acquired my first British airgun about 2 months ago, I’m still very much impressed with it…BSA has been making air guns for a LONG TIME, and they know how to build them right !! Glad you bought one rather than be “scared” off by a few negative reviews…..hell all new guns get negative reviews !!!! The lesser known brands just don’t get as much..Judging from my British gun AA S410) I’d be willing to bet you end up ” all giggly and smiling ” over your new purchase..
You OWE it to us to give a full report on gun, to include shot strings ,with at least 3 different types of pellets…..I wish you had weighed it before attaching a scope, I’m really curious as to “REAL WORLD ” weight as compared to factory claims 😎

Packrat its really light- advertised at 7.3lbs in comparison my Royale is 6.8lbs – its a far cry from heavy.
