BB GUN FUN
Went on another fun filled day of shooting my “BB GUNS” and oh man, did i use up some air. I started my day by sighting in a few of my guns. Not just my airguns but some of my powder burners. But for now…more about the airguns. I just so happened to bring along a couple of cleaning rods and some bore cleaner. So i started off shooting my Rapid .25 and i noticed the gun was not grouping like it used to. I actually noticed it on my last outing but never really looking into the issue hence, my reason for bringing out the cleaning supplies. So anyways, i set up a target at 60 yrds and then refilled my Rapids air tank and then loaded the magazine full with 12 JSB King pellets. I shot 9 shots and the group was left to right and maybe about 1.5″ or so which i quickly realized was UNACCEPTABLE. So after unloading the rifle and setting up my gun to be cleaned, i began swabbing down the bore. The first 2 patches came out pretty black and i expected but the following patches were getting lighter and lighter in color. So now that the last couple patches came out clean, i simply refilled the magazine and began to shoot a full 12 shots off of the same fill as the first 9 shots were shot off of.. The difference in groups size and consistency were dramatic. Its hard to believe that the gun grouped as well as it has this long. And yeah, it’s been way over a year since i cleaned the barrel last. But it also makes sense, that an air guns bore would be cleaner longer as it only uses air to propel projectiles and not powder.
Here is a pic of the group:

So now after zeroing in the R25, i put it up and grab the infamous ole JH457 big bore. I also clean the bore of that gun and it too was overdue for a cleaning but unlike the R25, the JH457’s groups stayed the same. But now i set up to do some long range BLASTING. I set up a steel plate at 110 yrds and begin to place a couple rounds in the bullseye. I then back up 45 more yards and begin to CLANK the steel plate again. I then set up some 2 liter bottles full of soda and i quickly send those bottles into outer space buy purposely trying to hit them on the base so the bottle would lauch itself into space……..lol. 1 out of 2 aint to bad….lol. Then i also hit 2 water bottles at 180 yrds…..YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT…..WATCH THE VIDEO at the bottom of this post…………….LOL
Here are some random pics from that day:

Thanx Benneboy. At 200 yrds, that thing is still packing some NASTY power. Would not wanna be on that end……
