I went out an shot in that wind today. It was swirling like a motha. I took about 100 shots at shotgun shells from 100 yards away. I’d hit one every 5-10 shots. I videoed the shooting, and intend to make a new video entitled “Heat Seeking Pellets”, because that is what it looks like. I had them swinging left and right as much as 10 inches smacking shotgun shells.

Yep we are getting are share as I have a daughter that lives in Ill. and we get what she gets about a day later it seems most of the time. I just want to get out before it gets to cold out and try out some things on my 22 also, so we will see what mother nature has in store for both of us thanks for the reply Old Goat I read you post as I do most all of them on Edguns boy I am having fun with mine very well put together gun that Ed guy built 😯

Hi Eddie, It is windy as hell here in central Il. also. They say it is gonna stay that way untill Friday. 🙁 I heard that Chicago had huuricane force winds this morning, trees down, roofs gone. My taxes will probably go up to pay for all of the damage. Too bad it didn’t blow the whole damn town into Lake Michigan or at least into Indiana so you guys can foot the bill, for all of those SOB’s, for a while! 😀

I went out last Sunday morning, it was windy but, not as bad as the last couple of days. I made a couple of changes to my .25 and I wanted to try them out.

I shot 2 100 yard groups using a tank full for each. The first groups vertical spread was about 1 1/2″ and the horizontal was about 5″. The second was 2 1/2 vert and about 7″ horz. I was trying to wait for a calm moment before shooting but, there wern’t many of those. As the day went on the winds got worse.

At times, I could feel the wind at my back, to the north, fallen leaves 20 yards out would be blowing left to right farther out right to left and then back to left to right at the target. The tall trees that line the range might show a south wind blowing through their tops!

I gave up.
