Konus scopes
Does anybody know anything about Konus scopes?
Had a look at one today and it looked pretty cool,but know nothing of the brand .I am sure one of the gurus here have used one .

Hey Sam , spent the whole day with Tim at Mac 1 and got to look at all the Konus scopes he had in stock , all made ROC ,sorry to let you down .

Konus has “Lifetime Replacement Warranty”, that’s a good thing. Photo copy the bill of Sale. Most sales receipt are printed on thermal paper that fades to unreadable after a few months, so get it photo copied on the way home or when you get home?
I have to deal with unreadable faded, proof of date purchased, weekly.

Finding conflickting info, homepage says sfp, forum posts say FFP?
I posted in a couple other forums and no response.
Which model did you look @ 1in tube or M30 30mm tube? When you go back or should you buy one, could you look on the scope and find the Country of manufacture/Assembly.?
One post says, U.S.A. company, parts made in Italy, shipped to china for assembly. Italia glass?

Tim over at Mac1 showed me the scope yesterday ,optics looked pretty good ,build was clean ,but didn’t know about repeatability of adjustment ,just wondered if anybody had played with it .

Never looked through or @ one of these sdopes
Reading the blogs seeems the Konus m30, uses european glass with chinese metal/mechanics. The price says not! Opinions say OK for price range on the m30 models. I don’t believe the hype about the euroglass, prices don’t jive. More along line with chinese glass.
Liberty Optic’s 2006 Shot Show review say very good for price, but that was 4 years ago?

Hey no biggie! Just proves you can’t believe everything you Read. Proves you actually have to lay your eyes on to really know. Found out they’re not FFP either.
Now you will be told to buy a Leupold, because they bought one, and think its the best ever made?
