Q:

hobby experts

I am building a 22 & 25 sss, with 18″ barrels , i am new to these rifles ,so rather than strip & build every day ,until i get the required level, what should i do. i am looking for a good punch, accuracy (2″ group & less) & distance 50yds, to tackle a medium size pest !! 40lb @ 50+ yds. Am i been realistic ??

What do you recommend for both 22 & 25 cals.

With preference to top hat size, bottle charge, spring & hammer ? give it ya best shot lads, experience appreciated

Airforce Condor = Gunpower SSS

Has a built in shroud to make them quieter.

Ok. You know how they say, “The only dumb question is the one you didn’t ask” ?….What does “SSS” stand for?

yep my modded Talon, reg Talon that is, spits the .25 Kodiaks our around 850 or so with a 20″ tube, made a mess out of a coon in the city real hush hush like 😆 😆 😆 😆
Those 25’s are kinda killer like.
I also have a 22 talon ss, and does a great job with the crows 😉 😉 😉 😉
I will say though the 22 is nice but sooner than later you will go 25 just because 😈 😈
Ha, although I have not the time lately, these airguns are for sure very fun to tinker with, have fun and read up with all the info that is on this site, valuable sh-t for ya.

SAW

i have a .25 shooting 43grn at 107fpe with 15 shots in the 90+fpe range. mine has a 24in barrel 115grn hammer a mm123578valve i have ported a bit running a 3000psi fill my first shot is 107fpe shooting 1/2in groups at 50yds ill have to say its pretty badass

I have a .25 cal 18″ barrel on a condor. I have the 2nd gen high flow valve. It’s been polished up and the retainer screw backed out. My TH is set at .067 and I fill to 2500’ish and I get 20 shots in the 920-940 range using JSB 25.4gr pellets. Then they fall pretty fast. Down to 900 around shot 30. They have a decent bc I hear so you should be able to get 40lb at 50 yards. But these probably won’t work for you and you will have to go do some testing =) No way around the strip & build. Every gun is different.

A Condor Valve and .25 barrel would give you plenty of power. We have a lot of .25 users here and they should be able to give you a good idea as to the power and accuracy.

Me I am still using .22 🙄
