Blast baffel distance?
Jims fixing me up with a etac-reg on my .25 and noticed a difference between with and without the shroud, with the shroud its got a little cork screw action going. I tried to make the over all shroud as short as possible and Im wondering if the 1” or so distance of the 1st baffel from the barrel end is whats causing the cork screwing. (Jim doesnt think its clipping) Is there a minimum distance on the blast baffel? and the following exspansion chambers as well? I would appreciate any ideas on solving this 😀

Are the baffels secure, I have a shroud , made from DonG and the whole baffel system was spinning around.
Thanks Guys, When I get it back I may open it up and take a pic of the baffel arrangement and get some more feed back.
The distance is not a problem but the diameter of the baffle holes even if not clipping could be a problem if it’s too close to .250. Also the baffle design could impart turbulence.
I’ve seen 2″ first chambers to allow the most violent expansion of air to have room.
I usually have baffles about 3/4 – 1″ apart and the first baffle usually 1-2″ from the muzzle.
Doesn’t sound like the design is being a problem??……

The problem was the 1st baffel for sure. I made another shroud more in line with the specs Dave 424 listed and and It works great 😀
