100 yard group with .25 condor
well Squirrel and crow season opens the 1st and predator season opens in oct.
So I decided to do some long distance shooting with my condor tonight.
I was getting soso groups with the condor so I decided to Polish the breech. recrown the bbl and also JB bore pasted the barrel with 50 pellets cleaning every 5
I set up my cast iron painted pan at 100 yards first I shot it at 30 yards and it blew a hole in the pan! Then I set up at 100 yards set up as I would while out fox or coyote hunting. I have a camo sheet i toss over my self set up backed aginst a large tree and Lay prone. I am shooting off a Bipod.
This is the group best I can tell is its right around .735″
Yes its only a 3 shot group but in a hunting situation which is why I have the condor I wont take more than 3
Plus I was soo happy with my first 3 I didnt wanna mess it up!!
Gun is shooting Benjamin Domes 27.8 grainers at 990 FPS
It shoots JSB kings just as accurate but I like the harder and heavier pellet for more downrange power and penetration while targeting predators such as fox,coon,bobcat or coyote
I wouldnt shoot 100 yards at any of these but I am confident in a 75 yard kill all day with this gun
I have a 24″ bbl and a Hunter Long stock from RL airguns

Yep, that’s a really fine group there Crow! 😀
If and when you do go to a bullet shooter, what you will love is how it will do in in a shifting wind. something you can’t always figure in a shot on a hunt. It really helps having such a high balistic coeficient compaired to a pellet! 😉
Oh, and they drop a hell of a lot less, even though they weigh a “LOT” More. :8:

Nice shootin’ dude. Love to see good groups at long ranges (for an airgun) with these rifles.
no poi shift with this gun. it had the Hunter long stock and there isnt any noticable flex with it. I shot from the atv. prone. off tree branch off bipod out to 100 hitting 20 ga hulls at 10 -50 no problem
Do you get a chance in group position from session to session? My condor was very accurate when shooting groups. If I set it down walked up to the target when I came back it was a nice group but an inch in another direction. I never figured out how to keep my groups consistent. I sold it because i was frustrated bought a daytate air ranger and never looked back. I can take it out of the safe after 6 months and same hole accuracy. I also find it simple to sight in exactly on the bulls eye which was a problem with my condor. tight group yes but 1 ” low and right then 1″ high and left. Maybe it was my hold on the gun? not sure but Ranger cured the problem.
lol duuuhhh been a busy couple weeks. My wife had our 3 rd son 11 days ago! i went to shoot to blow off steam!! yea I wanna make this a cast shooter eventually but First I am saving for a sport quad for Ice racing in the winter after that I am gonna be turning to thr Very dark side and going Cast bullet crazy!!
up here in ny about the most I have to worry about is the RARE eastern Diamondback which i have seen a few but not alot. Hence why I like going prone makes my hiding much easier and still able to turn and shoot easy enough if i need to!
He means they are pellets, and there fore hollow inside. IE=LIGHT and act like they have a droug chute bolted to thier ass. 😆
You know how much RC loves his Bullets, and I have to admit, I’m afraid I’ve caught the bug too. Hell, 1″ at 100 yards and futher with very leathal hits is it’s (the .257 bullet), play ground. I wouldn’t hesitate pulling the trigger at 200 yards on a yotal dog in the right position. 👿
Now about the prone hunting. Wish I could get away with that here, BUT, our main critter is fire ants, and the little bastards are every where. You don’t want get hurt and hit the ground here for long at all. They will kill you in a heart beat. And even if they don’t, you are gonna find a scorpion or two if you lie down. And you will know it QUICK!!! 😯 And don’t even think about leaning against a tree. The woods are infested with them. They call them Bark Scorpions and they love trees. (and are the most poisonous native Scorpions in the US). I hate the fuckers!

Sweeeeet ! It’s really hard to get the same power and accuracy as a two-five Condor for the price. I love mine. Game and predators are in serious, serious trouble in your neck of the woods.
