Q:

120 yrd groups

15 shots with stock Talon SS at 120 yards. a few shots went into the same hole. This picture included the shots taken to get the pellet on the paper, and to figure out how many mils to use. I think I could do better, but this is a hell of a long distance!

It is a 2 mile hike to get to this place, so i had to find a way to conceal my gun. It doesn’t quit fit but it is close enough.

This is a view from 120 yards. My target is about 5 yards to the left of the cement hill, attached to a metal pole with a white sign on it.

This is an overview of the hole place, I know it looks illegal, but no one is EVER there. It is 2 miles away from any houses, and is a bitch to hike to.

Yeah, just got a 24″ Now i have to figure out how to fit it in my backpack. 🙂

Get the 18″ or 24″ barrel and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the accuracy jump!!! 😉 Makes the 12″ feel like a peashooter… 😆

I was thinking the same as Adam. That bike is smokin hot.

Wow,

Nice bike.

Here is a pic of what I see, this is a gatorade bottle at 120 yards

Here is what it looks like without the scope.

I was able to hit the bottle 4/5 times at this distance. I have a vid that I may put up later.

Here is a pic of my sexy bike parked at the trail head, which is behind me in the pic.

Damn. That looks a lot like Lancaster, Palmdale aria that I have shot in before. Lots of stuff to shoot at. And good fun.
Good luck on the groups. Love to see these air guns go out to that distance. Its cool to see what they can do.

Considering the velocity at that range, the grouping isnt bad at all.

I find airguns spread more as the range increases. I can easily stay within .5″ at 40 yards. Move to 70 and its already almost 1″. The only time I shot a target at 100 yards, it was a 5″ plastic lid. If I remember right, I hit it 7 out of 10 shots, barely missing with the rest. The spread was left to right.

I think my technique and familiarity with the gun has improved. Am going to have to put it on paper one of these days.

The trail is too small for an atv, mountain bike might work though.

nice spot. 2 miles? looks like its time for a mtn bike or atv.
