1400 PSI regulated air, .177 Condor
I’ve been shooting CO2 for the last few weeks (since I got the Condor) and am happy with it for plinking targets in the yard. It doesn’t have enough power, IMHO, for serious hunting (650 fpm with CPHPs, 7.9)
I ordered two 48 CI tanks, 3000 psi, with 1400 psi regulators. They should screw right into the CO2 adapter. I’m hoping to get 900 – 950 fpm. And, hopefully, with either a 10.5 CP or 16.1 Eun Gin.
Am I realistic in my expectations? Will 1400 PSI drive ’em out that fast? Faster? Slower?
Thanks!

Thanks for sharing the info on your CO2 setup Sailor!
I’ve been thinking about having the CO2 option for one of my Condors for backyard shooting without all that power of HPA, or even getting a 18″ Talon .177 with CO2 for Starlings and stuff..
High 800’s is very nice for CP heavies. That’s some excellent hunting power to 50yds and beyond for squirrel, rabbit, etc.
I was under the impression you could get 200-300 shots out of the big CO2 tank (48ci?). I guess 1400psi is too much pressure to get that many shots? Maybe I ‘m thinking of 1,000psi or less?
What regulated CO2 pressure do you guys think (or know) would yield about 775-800fps with .177 Kodiak or CP Heavies (CPH)? and how many shots can I expect? Or is it better to go with a JDSairman regulated HPA tank since I fill my PCP’s from a SCUBA anyway?
