17 hmr or 22 mag
Im going to be getting a cz 455 american but im not sure what cal. Im going to use it for pest control. For groundhogs squirrels rabbits. And i dont mean to open a can of worms but coyotes within a 100 yards.

I have both calibers in different guns. I like the 17hmr round more, but not sure if it has the power you want. The biggest range I was able to go to was 50yds. In a cheap Marlin I had ten shots through one clean hole in the target. I don’t know if that means anything to you because 50yds Isn’t that far, but I was impressed. Got them both around the same time and never really used my 77/22 after that.
