18" barrel vs. 12" velocity difference
Can anyone here provide me an accurate number on the FPS gained from using an 18″ barrel vs. the 12″ barrel on a Talon SS? I am currently shooting a JSB 25.4 grain at 800 FPS, and I am debating buying an 18″ barrel to pick up the additional velocity and FP energy gained. Thanks in advance!

I saw a guideline like 15 fps per inch but it really depends on other variables too like pellet weight and which valve, etc. Also there is a dimishing return with longer barrel length and at some point it starts slowing the pellet down. From 18 to 24 is a smaller jump – all things equal.
