Q:

.20 pellets

Due to lack of .20 pellets over here in the UK i was wondering what you guy’s over the pond use and what you would recommend i use a modded UK GUNPOWER STEALTH with 21 inch Anschutz competition barrel 65 gramm leupy hybrid hammer, leupy breech, blodnob valve. i also have a HPA setup too although im still playing around with the HPA.

cheers for now

I was thinking .177

Blame the morphine tablets…….

Pablo I’ve not seen any airarm’s pellets in .20? Daystate are the same so I’m told would this be correct ?

Cas, the Airarms pellets ARE JSB, just rebranded. 😉

Hi Leadslinger57 thank’s for your reply to my post i have tried a few brands available over this side of the ponds but i seem’s you guy’s that side of the pond get more choice as with most thing’s 🙂 . Here is what ive tried so far

Bisley pest 12.8g
Bisley superfields 10.8g

Baracuda Match 21.14g

H&N Field&Target 11.42g

H&N Hollow Point 9.88g

H&N Pointed 9.88g

H&N Silhouette 11.42g

Crossman Copperhead 14.3g

Logun Penetrator 15.6

These were part of a test pack sent through by a company here 10 of each but as the the barrel was brand new and had never been shot i guess it wasnt a fair test as there was now lead in the barrel to start.

Ive not managed to get any jsb’s yet still waiting to source some here cheers for now

Mick

Hi Pablo i cant even remember now, probably something about a reg or how your rifle was set up lol

Cas’ sorry mate I don’t even remember your PM 😕

What was the question??

Caspian 40, I bought a variety of pellets for my .20 (and my .25) and the JSB Exacts from the Czech republic are by far the most accurate. I puchased a pellet sampler from StraightShooters in Minnesota. The .20 cal sampler contains 25 each of 15 different pellets, just about everything available in .20. There are copper plated Beeman double golds, poly tipped Predators, several types of hollow points, ranging from 9.2 grains on the light end to 15.5 on the heavy end. The Crosman premier’s and Beeman Kodiak’s aren’t too bad, but don’t even come close to the accuracy of the JSB’s. I have only shot maybe a dozen pellets out of the sampler box, and would send it to you, just reimburse me for the postage. It’s possible your rifle might like something different, but you can’t go wrong w/ the JSB’s.

25 would be too much for me over here we dont have many big critter’s over here that warrant .25 and i have to stay the right side of the law here too which i am at this moment in time just lol so .20.22 would do just fine id like to see if i can source more .20’s if possible just to try out other brands if i cant then i may just have to invest in a new barrel in .22 as their are shed loads available in this calibre

quote 80 GRIT:

With that rig I’d go .22!

Or .25!!!! 😯

He’s got the nice bits! 😆

i did message pab a little while ago but got no response it was on a different subject, school holidays here so he may be busy with kids 😆

Pab is over there with you. Perhaps he will chime in and offer up his “contacts”.

well i did give it a thought the original barrel was a .177 i wanted the best of both worlds and .20 was suggested and to date ive been quite happy all be it the lack of .20 over here. when i search the USA site’s there are loads of different brands and weights we are so unlucky here 😆 [/img]

With that rig I’d go .22!
