.22 Cricket barrel issue
My cricket has always been a decent gun but does suffer from wondering POI. I assumed it was the changing pressure in the tank when shooting down from full. I decided to send it to Ernest and have him tune it and see if he could fix the POI issue. What Ernest discovered that the choke on my barrel is very tight, as tight as he has ever seen from a cricket, and that could be the POI issue. (Mine is an early version with the old rainbow pressure gage.) Anyway, Ernest is right. If you push a pellet down the barrel, it really sticks at the choke and then comes out really grooved from the rifling. Any idea of how to remedy a tight choke. I’m afraid if I try to polish it I will only screw it up. I might try to find a gunsmith to see if they have any tricks, but I just though I’d throw this out there to see if any of you have a solution.
Thanks,
Don

I paid 125 € for a .25 barrel some 8 months ago. That was a LW since .25’s i’ve had were with LW’s although some say US Crickets are barreled by CZ.. ?? A CZ barrel on both .177 & .22 should actually be less than that.
