1.Would it be bad to leave tonys 95g hammer (which is for my 25 barrel) in the rifle with the stock 22 barrel would this cause harm to the stock condor valve or would it increase velocity?
2.Finally, which would be better for long range a 22 pellet with 27 grains or a 25 pellet wit 27 grains as well. Both are domed. What are the advantages of using one over the other. Remember both are traveling at the same velocity, close to 1000 fps.

Chairgun reckons .25 will carry better energy downrange when using same weight pellets. Plus a .22 at same weight needs to be longer an hence can suffer from stability issues at long range.
A .22 Eunjin 27.8gr at 1000fps at the muzzle will deliver around 30fpe at the target at 100yrds That will kill most small game if hit in the right place.
A .25 JSB King 25.4gr will deliver around 31fpe at 100yrds.
To get super heavy pellets in .22 you will need to shoot the Eunjins, which dont have as good a BC as the bigger but slightly lighter .25 Kings. Plus the Eunjins don’t fly very well, certainly not at 100 yrds.
Bottom line is, you want to take out fair sized game at 100+ yrds, use a .25 platform.
Pab I think you are right bigger hole wider frontal good for hunting but in terms of BC. When I use to shoot powder burners I remember my smaller 6.5×284 Norma had better BC than my 30-06. Does this also apply to pellets. Any ideas or testing of long range shooting with pellets. When I saw long range I mean 100-200 yards.

2. I’m gussing your .22 27gr pellet is a Eunjin? They don’t fly so good for most people at long ranges. The .25 is better for hunting as it has a wider frontal area which……..makes a bigger hole!!
