Q:

25 and 22 clean barrel . POI OFF

We all know the 25 likes the barrel clean, And I try to clean my 25 after every tin of 350 JSBs , I like shooting and am a little lax on the number,,,,
My 22 is a little less picky and I have never had to clean it for accuracy , I just do it after a lot of shots ,,,,
Now the QUESTION is the 22 will got back to zero after cleaning POI after a few shots maybe 10 to 15,,,
On the 25 I may have to make some minor adjustment to the scope to bring it back to zero POI….
My 22 has a Hawke sidewinder 30 4 x 16 x 50 that is a very good scope
My 25 has a viper 6x24x56 scope that is a very very good scope that I really like.
So long story short I can clean the 22 and stick it out the window and pop a sparrow , On the 25 I have to site it back in after a cleaning ????
I am sure its nothing and everyone else with a 22 and a 25 have the same thing,
Mike

Mike was both barrels lapped or just one?

On the 25 cal, are the POI correction always the same after cleaning ?

Meaning how many click in windage and or elevation is needed to re-zero ?
Shot analysis; vertical POI shifting and or horizontal POI shifting have different cause(s) of.

I really don’t clean my 25 as much as everyone else does on the board. I have gone over 500 shots without any loss of accuracy. My current shot count is 400 rounds from my last cleaning and she’s still one hole at 50. The 22 and the 25 are different barrels. The 25 are LW and the 22 are CZ, maybe the 25 doesn’t like the cleaning solution you are using. I do not have to re-sight in the 25 after cleaning. I do lead the barrel with 10 shots to improve groups but my zero does not change. This sounds stupid but check your rings and mount, i have had mine loosen without knowing it.
