.25 Beeman Silver Bear Pellet
I have shot these in my .25 Beeman crow mag for years and were very consistent for accuracy…I tried these in my Talon Tune .25 from Tony and they work great…spinner targets at 75 yards no misses…I use nitrogen and power wheel @ 8…give the a try…Allen.

If it’s not too much bother, I have two more questions for you about the Crow Magnum. First, how hard would you say cocking the gun is? I know the gasram starts off with the full cocking force right off the bat, and doesn’t build up to it’s peak cocking effort like a spring where you have more leverage. I am sure it wouldn’t bother me much at all, just asking what you think. Second question is what scope do you have on the gun?

If I recall 60lbs to cock the gun, Theoben places a muzzle break on the gun to make it easier to cock…I never had a problem cocking the gun…The trick in tight groups is to have a open palm and place your elbow, up against your ribs, when you fire the gun it will kick forward and with an open palm you will not influence the natural kick the gun has…if you can learn this technique for shooting you will be able to pick up any gun and have tight groups, as far as my scope I have a Bushnell scope mounted on the gun…Leapers also has some very good scopes at a reasonable price…hope this helps, Allen.
Allen, thanks for the information. Based on your opinion I would strongly consider the .25 Crow Mag, (I originally wanted the gun in .25, but wasn’t so sure, so started considering .22).

Regarding Tony’s (Talon Tunes) .25 condor and .25 Theoben Crow Magnum rifle comparison (BB gun to a .22 cal stock airforce rifle…BIG difference…hope this helps, Allen.
Is it as dramatic a change as it was for my step up from .177 to .22? I found with .177 squirrels were dead but not without some flopping. .22 havenever had one move they are stone dead when hit properly. If .25 is the same jump up it must be awesome. I ordered a condor (backorder of course with my luck) and was considering harnessing some of that power with a .25 barrel.
When I look at the “Our Take” on the Straight Shooters website the .25 doesn’t really stand up that well in the BC department with a few of the really good .22 pellets, Crosman Premiers, and Beeman Kodiaks beat most of the .25 cal pellets.
I would like to hear “Your Take” on the gun, good and bad. I love the idea of a bigger .25 pellet smashing its intended target, but I know the .22 would have a slightly better trajectory and still deliver great power. What do ya think?

Hello Mike…I purchased the Theoben .25 crow mag over 12 years ago new. It took about a tin of pellets to break in the barrel and after that with periodic cleaning it will stack them one behind the other @ 20 yards…the Silver bears will shoot flatter than the Kodiaks, the Kodiaks group excellent also, if you have a mil dot scope this will help a great deal for point of impact with either projectile…these were the only two pellets that I have found that the .25 Theoben was accurate with…A side note, once you have owned a .25 caliber it will be hard to go back to a .22 caliber…Happy shooting, Allen.
Allen, I assume your gun is the same as the Theoben Crow Magnum? I only ask because I would really like to buy a Theoben Crow Mag, but I still can’t decide what caliber (.22 or .25), and on top of that I can’t really afford one right now, but I wouldn’t mind sacrificing other things to save up enough loot for one 🙂 ❗ I have read good things about those Silver Bear pellets, however….
