.25 Cal / 12" vs 18" barrel / accurracy / noise
Does anyone know what velocity I can expect from a .25 Talon SS in 12″ vs. swapping out for an 18″ barrel? (26 grain pellet JSB or similar). Is it possible to attain 1″ groups under 50 yds. w/ a 12″ barrel if tuned properly, or is this unrealistic?
I am trying to keep weight and size to a minimum, and debating if putting an 18″ barrel on a new SS .25 cal is worth it (which means I will probably have to add a shroud to an 18″ barrel to keep it back yard friendly = even more weight/length).
Lastly… has anyone shot the new SS in a .25 cal / 12″ barrel? If so, how is the bark? If it is really noisy, I will probably have to add a shroud regardless.
I’m a 45 yr.old newbie…thanks for your input!

The 18” barrel will effectively turn your SS in to a regular Talon that looks like a SS. Same sort of power and noise. This as the Talon SS is basically regular Talon but with a shorter frame and a longer barrel. Never shot a 12” .25 but I would Imagen it would handle 50yards with ease.
