Q:

.25 Cal, 61 gr ‘pellets’… any input on these?

Saw these I think for the first time in the .25 pellet page @ Pyramyd Air, wondering if anyone has tried them, or has any input on them.

I look forward to the PM. And when I get it I will confirm that your gun has the power to make our slugs perform as you expect and I’ll confirm that we are going to size them correctly for your barrel.

I just this evening refered a gentleman to this site because I was concerned his gun did not have the power to get the 7 and 9 ring slugs up to the speed needed to replicate the performance we’ve been advertising and refering to from other users. I could have just accepted the order for 1000 slugs and the boys would have made them happily but the customer might have ended up wasting a bunch of money and been soured on the gun and slugs. It just drives me mad (as in angry) when retailers treat their customers like suckers. “For a limited time only!!! Heavy slugs for .25’s marked down from a dollar apiece to just ten cents each!!!”

Jerry quote: ” My gut feeling based on watching the market is that the $17.99 number is pure BS tossed up there to “help” impulse buyers with their decision.”

I wouldn’t doubt that. A practice that probably happens more than we’ll ever know, in many areas. Still want to try your slugs, you’ll be getting a PM in a day or two hopefully.

Well $17.99 is the crossed out price, the current price is 11.25 per 75. Now I’m kinda interested in the price of competing heavy slugs as my boys make the Surefire slugs. I don’t recall ever seeing the Pyramid slugs actually offered at $17.99. I was just wondering if Pyramid just put up a BS price to cross out and make it look like you were getting a bargain deal or if they had ever tried to actually sell those slugs at $17.99 per 75. My gut feeling based on watching the market is that the $17.99 number is pure BS tossed up there to “help” impulse buyers with their decision.

That said, the Surefire slugs from 56 through 86gr will be $15 per 100 which includes custom sizing (same per slug price as the Pyramid generic .25 61gr) starting 1 Jan, $13.50 up until then. We have never floated a bogus cost to deduct from or fool customers regarding the value of the product!

You know, I didn’t even pay attention to the price vs count. That is steep…

All I want to know is: did ANYONE buy them at $17.99 per 75?
