Q:

.25 cal. Cricket Out of Box Specs?

What velocity would a .25 cal Cricket, out of the box, shoot 34 gn JSB Heavies? I’m assuming that the gun comes set to about 130 bar?
I’m just looking for a baseline.
What is the consensus on tuned velocity. I’ve heard of guys shooting around 830 fps but have seen power tune videos at 925 fps with good results.

Thanks for the help

Gouda, Yes Ernest Rowe is with FXUSA but he still does tunes for ANY other PCP out there. When FX guns are sent to FXUSA for any type of work, everybody there works on them. When a non FX gun is sent it’s only Ernest that works on them. His job there is to train FX employees to repair FX air guns, then he’s finished there.
This is from Ernest himself as of three weeks ago. If you want to send any gun in for repair you must first call and get it in their system to be OK’d, the number is…..866 639 0772

One other thing, they left the facility last Tuesday because of the hurricane and as of right now no one has returned to assess the damage caused by the flooding and high winds. I’d wait a week of two before trying to contact them.

My Cricket 25 is shooting the JSB 25,39 pellets at 940 FPS , It shoots the JSB 33.95 gr pellets at 835 FPS, I had my gun sent straight to Earnest for a tune and told him I wanted the 25gr shooting 940 FPS , Bingo dead on.
What spring are you guys talking about to replace to get the 33gr to 900 FPS mark ?
Mike

You should be shooting around 900-915 fps with the 25.39 JSB. I never tested the reg HaganTool@aol.com is the guy that makes a reg tester. The length of the reg should be about 53mm. With the heavier spring you can achieve that velocity with the 33.95’s. Ernest Rowe is now with FX. Charlie Freer of Georgia airguns is the current guru with the Kalibr line, and a great guy that’s a pleasure to deal with. There are many videos online from Ernest and others, do a search and educate yourself. There is a schematic available spares.bagnallandkirkwood.co.uk hope I got that right. I found it by doing a google search for Kalibr Cricket Images. hope this helped.
